Why do YOU get to use FORCE to REQUIRE me to teach YOUR crap? Why is that right in YOUR mind?

You don't seem to get it, the ONLY way for you and I, to raise OUR children, and educate them as WE see fit, is to do AWAY with public schools. Something tells me you won't go for that. You WANT the power to indoctrinate, OR, you just want someone else to pay for it.

Rolling for Ft. Worth, yell at me later! LOL!!

If you read the First Amendment carefully, you will not find "freedom from religion" listed anywhere there. It's not in the Federalist Papers either.
Perhaps a minor point, perhaps not, but while those exact words are not used, they don't need to be. Any right you have, you also have the right to the exact opposite. The right to keep and bear arms for example, means you cannot be compelled to keep and bear arms, because you have the right not to, even though the right not to is not explicit. Same with freedom of speech, where you also have the freedom to not say a word. The freedom of religion means you also cannot be compelled to have a religion.

If you believe in nothing and are teaching nothing, then you have nothing to say......Hmmmm, might want to think about that a bit, don't you think? Or maybe you think nothing. That could be-- ahhh-- interesting.

I am not arguing that point. The First Amendment doesn't compel you to have any religion. It does however state that the government can't prevent the free expression of religion. ASJ is trying to do just that however-- have the government compel people to leave their religion at church, so his virgin ears might never have to hear of anybody else's god(s). Like it or not, he's trying to get Atheism established as the State Religion-- in violation of the First Amendment.

Dogone if I'm actually becoming in agreement with layout. Gotta look it up, I seem to remember something about the end of the world-- When mjmsprt40 and Layoutshooter agree, the end is nigh.

And since y'all are talking about the somethingness of nothingness, I think it's useful to be clear about atheists. A person that doesn't believe in religion doesn't belong to the atheist "religion". That's just another Foxism to get people riled up. A lack of religion isn't itself a religion.

Look...why is it fair to subject everybody at a football game to YOUR religion.. not everybody shares YOUR religious beliefs.. where is everybody else's prayers or is it just about YOUR religion ...YOUR beliefs ...and because its Publicly funded property paid for by the tax paying citizens of the town...it all has to be fair...and also the LAW says so...
So who is pushing there beliefs not me...I'm just saying..not the time or place...go to your churches property that you and your fellow congregation paid for...pray do whatever... I Dont care..
*** question *** can the Satan worshipers get there minute at the football game???..or is that just silly...its a religion..or is YOUR religion better than there's...why is your beliefs better than mine???..
See the problem...why does 1 religion get a prayer and others Dont..

I am advocating fairness ( and following the law) and getting skewered ..because everyone wants to push there religious beliefs at a publicly funded event..hmmmmmm

I pray for his kids.

His mind is made up.
I hope he lets his kids think for themselves.

Why do you feel the need to pray for someone just trying to be fair?? (and following the law)..I guess in your definition shouldn't we be praying for you??

My mind is made up??...and being a good example to my 22 yo son by following the law...and being fair to everyone means 0 to you obviously.....or should I set an example that I am better than everyone ...to hell with what the constitution says...everyone at that football game MUST..MUST LISTEN to my prayer even though its against the law..and not everyone believes the way I do...YOU are the one forcing your ideas on to me!!!!

Further more my Son has grown into a very good honest man who is totally self sufficient works 2 jobs...and has made up his own mind on religion due to he being CRAMED down his throat for years by his mother..and My son is a smart enough not to take anything at face value and question it all..

Have your beliefs changed since your marriage ?
Sometimes people do things to spite an ex-spouse.
