Back in service after the New Years partyin....getting ready to head up to Taylor to drop off the paper work for the last 3 runs of last yr and wait on what I am sure will be the start of a great yr with Load 1....:D

Didn't take long to get a load from home Monday. Picked up 30 miles from the house going to Hart, MI. Right around 400 miles. Never been up here before. Seems a bit off the beaten path. Nearest truck stop is 70 miles away.

Ran into some lake effect snow just north of Holland that slowed me down, but made it here with no problems. Consignee was gracious enough to let me stay overnight in their parking lot. Will head to the truck stop in the am.

Well I got that 1st run of the year...PU in Shelby Township delivered to Elberton GA..The PU protect time was 2100, didn't get loaded until 2315... Delivered straight through with a stop in Lexington KY for a 1.5 nap...Its all good...and "dolla's" in the bank.....:D

And it's official..Ken is ON the move again..headed east and hoping Caryn finds that nice long trip out of eastern SD!

And I got my computer back!:)

Also in my man cave. Presently entertaining the intestinal bug that made an unannounced visit.:eek: Pouring OTC meds down my throat and sleeping a lot. Don't care if its offended. I also will not be sending a thank you note for the "gifts" it brought.:mad:

Hopefully, it doesn't overstay its unwelcome appearance. Had a good start to the week going.:(

oh man am I enjoying the remote control...just gotta watch it when I aim it at one of those shopping channels. :eek:

BUT..This gismo will back up both of our computers and its got 500 Gig so plenty of room. And you only have to run an 89$ trip to pay for it...*LOL*

So I dropped in the Granite Capital of the world (elberton GA) and stayed there to get a needed nap and then a good dinner. Figured that since Elberton isn't the "Out bound freight Capital of the World"...Id run up to Commerce GA and put myself in a bit of a better Freight lane...sat there and dispatch called and wanted me to move up to chattanoga TN....ok well the last time they moved me up here, I sat 2 days and they then DH'd me back to Taylor....

Ok so i give them the benefit of the doubt and here I sit waiting for the phone to ring...Now I know its slow so its not a overwelming concern, but...I just don't have that "warm and fuzzy" feeling about bein here...so I'll give dispatch a bit longer and I might head for Nashville or Knoxville...if I have to sit down here all weekend, Chattanoga isn't where I want to spend it..well if the "Lookouts" were playing a home seris, then yea,,,but thats a few months off.....

Com'on Kristie or Pam or Mike or Caryn...get me aload out of here...I am on your dime now....
