Alabama CAN be a tricky area to get out of, but dispatch is pretty successful about finding loads. The good thing is it's a warm place to wait generally.

John, sounds like the boys might be a wee bit tired this morning after fighting those roads last night. It IS winter time and a good eye on the weather maps can be helpful. I think Tony is going to hit some pretty icy conditions before he hits the snow. EVERYONE drive carefully please! First and foremost is your safety.

Snow started just south of Indy last night around 2200. Made Terre Haute only 10 minutes late. Freezing rain started while I was being loaded. By the time I got back through Indy, it was buried. Continued until just north of Muncie. Totally dry the rest of the way to MI.

Made the delivery time with 30 minutes to spare, but they spent 2 hours unloading the truck. Murphy is my co-pilot.

Ken, Enjoy your time with Juju and those close to you. I know how the move to Load 1 has impacted your life as it has mine...it is certainly good to know that we can knock off for a few weeks during this Holiday season and know that when we come back that the company will be working as hard as possible to make us and them a profitable...

I cant express my satisfaction and happiness since coming here.Load One is a class act all the way around. It is nice to have an owner of a company who will take the time and listen and respond to what you have to say, in person, or by e-mail. I know they really do try their best at keeping us moving.I love their Facebook page, it is awesome! It is nice to know such a sucessful company can take time to have fun.

As the year draws to a close, my wife and I are reflecting on the events of 2010 and plan for 2011, at least as much as one can plan for the future. However, 2011 will start with a complete turn around from 2010.

2010 began as 2009 ended, bleak. A ruptured disc in my back required surgery that laid me up from late January to early April. The carriers we were leased to could not keep our trucks busy. I couldn't drive, and it was apparent that a decision had to be made. Find a company that could keep our trucks busy or shut it all down.

After one of the endless therapy sessions, I was reading posts on EO about what carriers were offering and what experiences owners had with them. I came across posts by John Elliott of Load 1. I was impressed by the fact that a CEO of a company would take the time to post on an open forum. I read everything I could find about Load 1. I contacted John, and after several phone conversations, emails, and a visit to Load 1 headquarters in Taylor, MI., we signed our trucks on.

Now, after 8 months with Load 1, we are well on our way back. We credit John and the amazing Load 1 staff for providing a platform on which our trucks are consistantly loaded and turning a profit. John has told me many times that "If you succeed, Load 1 succeeds." It is his philosophy towards all Load 1 contractors. He and the staff truly stand behind the company motto: "The Future Belongs to Those Who Deliver."

We offer our thanks and wish John and the entire Load 1 staff a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.

I haven't crunched any real numbers yet...just simply scanning over year to date numbers...In 3 months I've made half of what i made at old carrier in 7 months...
One thing that does stick way out..for those on the flat rate FSC....numbers indicate that IF the present trend would continue for a year..I'd be UP close to $18,000$ over the flat rate system...THAT is a whack of DOLLAS!!!
Goes to show the robbery and outright theft by some carriers!
