Just my .02 here.....freight does come out of the US 71..I-49 Joplin, Bentonville, Rogers, Carthage, Springfield area and not usually overloaded either...If Tulsa and others appear full I'll play closest truck and sit there...when In Tulsa I got often DHed to that area for a pick....
Give me Joplin area anyday for freight .. 100 mile radius ...

Meanwhile DH 50 mile to pickup load..

Also 64° and Sunny here...

my Poking sticks are donated by OVM Mfg. of Bison , SD.

I didn't think about that

Oh well. From here, something might happen in Kansas. Backtracking to Wichita won't kill us, but KC doesn't make sense.

First order of business: breakfast! Then a visit to Quick Lane, and the hunt for freight can start
frieght can come out of anywhere these days depends on your carrier's connections....good luck,,:)
If luck is not an option, this could help the DH decision. Ya...agreed!

Just an off the wall thing, talking about pork. It reminded me of a blog I kept track of for a number of years. A Vermont pig farmer and his family, and their superior work ethic and problem solving skills, along with their daily adventures.

Walt and his two sons were forced to speed up their plans for building a USDA inspected butcher shop, after their regular butcher announced retirement. 10 years later, the shop is up and running. Truly remarkable journey, regardless if you're into pigs or not. Walt has a way with story telling.

Listening to the crickets in OKC
I didn't even hear crickets the 3 or 4 days I was there. Then oh lucky me, took a load back into Texas.
