If you go east to the flying J, there is a african safari type of place that you can check out all the animals.But the Bosselman's/Pilot in grand island is a real nice place to be laid over at also.I hope pilot didnt screw that one up too bad since they took it over.Yeah, I hear ya, they're only doing 1 a day here. I hope I get something outta here by monday tho...gettin bored....

I'm sittin here at the J east of Lincoln, and I was at the Bosselman in Grand Island and it's a pretty nice truck stop.
Flying J in Montreal till Monday anyway. Looks like they fixed the crappy internet, lots of signal tonite!
Monringstar, there were 3 Panther vans and 2 Panther straights when I left at 11am. One FX van, and a Macton Xpress van.
Got to meet 60MPH today, so that's 3!

Morningstar & I did some shopping at Marc's [my favorite store in Ohio],then split up. I don't know where she went, but I'm holed up in a nice room for the night, watching "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" on HBO - it was a great book.
Family picnic tomorrow, then back at it!

Ok folks; If you are ever stuck in Nebraska over the weekend here is a couple of things to do near the Flying J off of exit 432 in Gretna, NE.
1. Holy Shrine -- Provides an awesome view of the Platte
River Valley (pic below) open 10-5 m-Sat 12-5 Sunday.
Located 2.2 miles from the Flying J. go past the J turn
right down dirt road go to the bend on right just past the
hill crest.
2. Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. admission to park is 4$
but it contains an observation tower-free, miniature golf
which is $3.50 per person, horseback riding -15$ per
person, a lodge with sunday breakfast buffet from 7-
1030 cst, cabins w/ showers, nature trails, indian burial
mound, activities center, conservation center, park
administration office. The park is located next to the
Strategic Air Museum 1 exit to the West of the Flying J
just across the platte river.
3. The strategic Air museum which I have not visited, but
intend to do so tomorrow which is the same exit as the
state park. Will post once I have further info. Here are
some pics of my excapades today.

I have loaded in the past out of Omaha. A couple of times I got short airfreight loads and then deadheaded east. I have also scored loads in S.W. Iowa; Red Oak and Shenandoah. A few G.E. loads out of Lincoln.

there has been zero trucks ( panther) over in pitts and zero trucks enroute..
and now im 1st up on the akron/cleveland boards.... sooo like in the middle... heh.

Talked with dispatch a little bit ago and we don't do alot out of montgomery ala area, so i am thinkin ill take a ride up to huntsville ala, i have a run or 2 out of there....my wait till the sun goes down, drive slow and leave the windows open and play some "Dion" on the cd player realllly load!!!

lol i guess there wasn't much on my mond! I changed it and ran over to the "J" on I-75 sotuh of atlanta.....but i did have Dion on the CD player....can't sing a lick, but i "covered" very one of those old songs!! LOL, no kareoke bars close so i guess i am safe...........no one will throw beer cans while i "sing", for lack of a better word for what i do!!!

Okay, here are some of those pics I told ya about...I hope it works this time. The first one is the Holy Family Shrine, Second is view from the observation tower and 3rd is nature trails at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. I never got to go to the Ashland Strategic Air & Space Museum, so I have no info to report on that since I got a load to Davenport, IA. So, I'm still sittin here at #1 with nothing to do............cept wait for that beep.
