Please, dont you all get jealous, but I am at the awesome, first-class, driver-freindly, super-clean,Madco truckstop in Romulus, MI.

Guido, we're gonna need you to immediately go to the nearest clinic for a random, because, well, you've gotta be toasted!

Went back into service 6/29. Made 2 small runs from Toledo area to north of Detroit. Spent the night at home, got a call this morning for a pickup in Richfield Oh and drop in Belcamp Maryland. I am sitting in dock now, goin to bed so i can deliver 1st thing in the morning since there is no 3rd shift recieving....
I was offered that load, but turned it down. Way too much deadhead involved.

Toased? This job has the ability to do that to a person. But toasted is what I will be, if I am home for the weekend.Last year I tried to cook my hot dogs with a mig welder. It didnt work out too well.

And what is the idea of the Madco truckstop taking out the restaurant and putting a subway in?

It was under 100 mile DH for me, they paid for 50 of those and the run paid ok, nothing great but not the worse i have taken...so i am now empty and sitting at the "J" in elkton MD..

Second truck usually gets the bumped up offer...why is that anyhow? To make the first truck look bad?

Well if they "bumped" it up from what Guido turned down because of the DH miles, while as i said it wasn't a bad pay rate, if it was bumped, Guido should have turned it down because it didn't pay enough and not the DH miles......
