I simply posted it to explain who I am. Not what I do. Thats about the best way I could explain it.

But I will add that I am no longer going to explain my grown man self to a bunch of other grown men on this website. If somebody asks me to explain myself... unless its a typo or I can see I wasn't clear, I am just going to ignore it.

Dispatcher,

Just a short reply... on the mods (and other responders) knowing the business. They do, thats why they are questioning so hard. I dont know how long you've been dispatching, or if you've ever been on the other side... but just FYI... most of the people responding to you have been drivers, fleet owners, and yes, even a company owner or two jumped in there..... on average from 5 to 20 plus years. So yes, I'd wager some may know more than you... I know several know more than me.

This may be a dysfunctional family lol, but they know the biz.

It's kinda like the bat boy telling Roy Halladay that he's doing it all wrong.

This is simple proof that you are wrong.

1) I am not catholic. So I cannot be up for sainthood.
2)You misunderstood why I posted that.

Are you blind or merely simple? I misunderstood nothing. Your laundry list of faults was missing an entry: your inability to form a sentence.

I had a driver in Foristell, Mo. I got him a load picking up in Saint Louis, Mo. He just needed to take I-70. He had 4 hours to pickup. 1 hour before pickup he isnt moving. I called him and he said he was on the highway, but it was stop dead traffic. So, I called the customer and advised them of the situation. They told me there was no traffic. Here I am busted. So I check around, I ping his last location, and he was at the T/A there. So, I look at the traffic on that road, it says its fine. I said forget that and called the local Department of Transportation there. They said no traffic. I called Highway Patrol. They said no traffic. So I called the T/A. I asked the manager to peek out and see if she can find my truck and I gave her the truck number. She said that guy has been coming in and out of the store buying lights for his truck all day. I asked her what he was currently doing and she said him and another guy have been rewiring the trailer all day and they were still working on it. So I called the driver and asked him again. Hey how's the traffic. He says its still dead stop. I said yeah I just called another driver we got at the T/A over there and he is currently working on his trailer lights. He says traffic is bad too. He shut up. Guess what? He turned the load back. He said that his trailer lights wasn't working correctly and thought he could get them fixed in time but ran out of time. So, I had to call the customer, and tell them we couldnt do the load, hence lowering our carrier rating with that customer.

There are millions of scenarios like this.

Seems you need to have a discussion with your recruiters for hiring idiots like this!

I know things happen, but one time they should be terminated. Why did the op feel he should lie about the trailer lights?? Tell dispatch and they can send a vendor out to fix it. Chances are it is a lease trailer, call the darn trailer company and have one of thier vendors do it..

Drivers lie, dispatchers lie, recruiters lie, customers lie... welcome to the transportation industry!

Hey, look at the bright side.
He composed that personal laundry list of self improvement challenges with only 3 to 4 hours sleep and on a Monday no less.
He should be commended.

Keep it coming guys. I want somebody to tell me where I have told an owner of a fleet, CEO, or any driver with more than 10 years of experience on here that they didnt know what they are doing. All I have done is explain the way I have done things. You thread skimmers need to read back at the beginning.

Believe me, I dont like the conversations more than others do. I will try to ease up a bit. But if I am going to share information and experiences, people need to be open to my criticism of my own drivers, so they will understand the situation. Not bash me. If you havent noticed so far,

1)I dont know how to do my job
2)I dont know what hard work is
3)I dont my company
4)My company doesn't know me
5)My company doesn't know its drivers
6)Nobody here knows me
7)I dont know anybody here
8)Drivers here dont like dispatchers
9)Everything is my fault.
10)A driver is a contractor, so he did nothing wrong
11)A dispatcher is responsible for anything and everything, for not firing a driver if he lies, or misleads the carrier.
12)And my company doesnt have as many trucks as others do, so I dont know what I am talking about
13)Google maps is apparently different from computer to computer.
14)A lot of people pee on each other and on themselves
15)Panther evidently doesnt like people that dont like them.
16)If you are a moderator here, then you know expedite better than me
17) If I dont start agreeing with you guys, and not just agreeing to disagree, then I am not credible.
18)If I explain myself, then I am even more uncredible.

But I will catch on!!!

Your attitude sucks! It's evident your a rookie on a power trip and this is prolly your first job with any authority over people of any kind.

Remember one thing, these people you are trying the "help" and give inside info too in a very condencending way, own a truck that are equal to the house (or mother's basement) you live in. So try to have some understanding and respect! They come here to discuss the biz and you must understand they are going to question what you are asking since you voulunteered to put it out there this way.

And and maybe you could loose you job (very unlikely) based on what a driver tells you, but they could loose their truck, house, and all credit if you shut a line down because your on the internet surfing Expeditors Online and not tracking and tracing the loads ..LOL ... In all seriousness, they have just as much if not more to loose then you! In reality dispatch and the operators are a team and should be pulling in the same direction, working together, communicating etc. If anything the dispatchers can be more difficult to deal with then the operators, and I know that for a fact!

You said that you came on here to help. You sound like a person that just want to pick a fight. Your trying to tell a group of guys that all together have over 200 years in the business about the business, not good. So what if Panther has a broker board, most carriers do. I don't know what your so upset or what your beef with Panther is about. Did you work there and they let you go?

It don't matter how long you been in this business, your going to find someone that may know more than you. Coming on here and blasting the Vets is not a smart thing to do.
What does the term all in mean to you?

If you want to be apart of the EO family your starting out on the wrong foot. You don't want to be called "PITA"

I seem to remember not long ago someone joined this site to help drivers out. So far I see nothing but the rising stress factor.
Sit back, take a deep breath relax it will all work itself out.
Have a nice day.

zero 3 nine whats up with all the name calling.

"All the name calling?"

You're kidding right? All I've seen so far is one guy acting like he knows all the ins and outs but really not passing along any useful information. Then comes the swan song.

Pointless.

Since when is rookie a bad word?
