i really can't make my point anymore clear than i already have.

eb

I can. What EB is saying is he doesn't personally need to do so. I don't think the percentage of sprinters who don't need to will hurt customer service. I would guess less than 10% of the sprinter fleet would not be up for what is being proposed. It's a slippery slope when you try to perpetuate others business model. On the other hand we have the best interest of the carrier in mind. It just doesn't fit for everyone.

You are rite, let John do what he does best. See how many are for and against and see if the takers meet capacity needed before demanding that it applies to the whole sprinter fleet. I do agree that something has to be done to keep the customers covered.

Right now in the flyin J parking lot in Laredo there's 11 sprinters 2 box trucks and 3 cargo vans ( all cargos are panther vans buy the way) and this seen is becoming more and more common. In a few yrs sprinter style vans will far out number regular cargo vans and all the manufactures will have them. I mean ford is only making the E series one more yr. so will we even be having this discussion. Think about it!

Or Eb, here is the alternative point blank! John hires cargo vans! The rate is 90 cpm! Your 1st out in Laredo but 2 cargo vans behind you guess what??? Just because you didn't wanna play the game and the 2 behind you that did means your still in Laredo!!!Have fun brother! If your industry is changing either change with it or fall behind!!! Dont get this twisted, because trust me there are plenty of times we can still run the way we do, just not as often as we used to!!!We've been spoiled, so let's not be blinded here!!! That's all I ask.

That does not apply to everyone. Some wouldn't be bothered by still being there. The loads got covered by the other two trucks so the coverage problem doesn't exist till the next load is offered and turned down.

You are rite that the industry is changing. But it's changes don't effect everyone in the same way. I'm pretty sure Eric does his part to help out, takes good paying loads and less desirable ones. Everyone should have a number that they must have to keep their business solid. That is one thing that is set and can't be changed.

As as I said, there is no one size fits all. You have to pick a starting point and progress and adapt from there. It's better to be proactive. Seems like we have a good starting point just have to see where it goes.

Another thing to think about, which nobody has mentioned, lost revenue. Not just yours but Johns also. what effect will it have on johns bottom line. Lots of things to take into consideration.

I vote for the "Off With Their Heads Policy".

It ends the discussion very quickly and we know there will not be any back talk about it!!!

Serious question cuz I don't know, do 54 foot trucks that aren't full get straight truck rates? Or maybe there always full, idk.

good morning, john. look at the mess we came up with while you were sleeping.

Good point! What if John looks at us one day and decides we are too much trouble, picks up the phone and sells Load1 by noon to one of the many offers I'm sure he's gotten.

We will all be on 80 cents per mile flat ra plus $0.19 FSC by the end of the week. Where will we all be then?

We have it so good comparatively. Our customers needs must be met! I do not understand all this push back!

I wish when dispatch calls and asks "How much I need to move on a load?" And I tell them ...say .95 That they don't say "I' am not going that low ... WTF did they ask me for!!! Then they bid some ridiculous figure in a tight market and I sit another 3 days. Every vans CPM is different!! Let us run our rate! Not what someone else THINKS we need. Thank you.

I'd take .99 any day on a case by case situation any day.... I have one of the lowest CPMs ....

But you would you be a part of a group of $printer owners that would agree to take all of the low paying runs so that's a few privileged $printer owners can take all cherry runs?

It absolutely blows my mind to think there are a few $printer owners out there that think everyone else will take all of those low paying runs so they can take all the cherry runs!!!

And to top it off, they think that would be a great policy for Load1!

Unbelievable.

You forgot the paid deadhead there buddy!! Tell the whole story, don't short change yourself.

Now you're at 1.000000009 per mile. (real life numbers, about .77 all in per mile.)

Some say change is coming. Ha, change came once before, that's why a lot of us are here. Like change and low rates, miles? Then head on over to the carrier you left to come here and be happy and smile for those miles.

Load-1 Actual has this. End of line

Nooo...I said on a case by case basis to get out of BFE....not some of that low paying garbage in Mi, Oh, and such, let the scumbags run that ......I don't really give a rat azz....sit in BFE for weeks or DH out on your own dime...or better yet turn down a .90 opportunity only to accept a .20 paid move 3 days later....ya all know it is a crap shoot....
