Aspirin shouldn't be used with Pickles.
Some people think it will help speed up the pickling process while others think it cuts the acid in the juice and fruit - neither is true. AND neither is true that it changes the ph level for tomatoes and beans for canning.
Aspirin contains salicylic which is used in some food processes as a preservative, but should not be used for people who may have ADD/ADHD or Aspergers or Rye's syndrome and a number of other things should avoid Aspirin or foods containing salicylic - which Pickles naturally have in them.
