None of them were worth a hoot and none of them could win. Most were weirdo's. Green party and the communist's and othere wacko's. Not really any different than what we have running now.
There are no valid candidates running. It is NOT the cream rising to the top in this Nations politics.
You had five candidates with only two having any possibility of winning. You could have ten and the same problem still exists.
That won't change unless you take finances out of the picture which isn't likely to happen. Money makes 90 percent of the race.
If you don't have that as a candidate, you are basically insignificant.

Nope, I am writing in a candidate. What other choice do I have?
There were fifty million or so candidates in '08 and there will be again this year. At least that many must be eligible and you could write their name in. RP and RP both were/are good choices until you reach that point where they are no longer viable and will only guarantee the worst possible outcome. Then it's time to switch horses to one with at least a chance of finishing. RP is it through the end of May but after the primary, barring MAJOR changes, his time will be over in Texas just as it is elsewhere. We can hope for that miracle but when it's no longer possible it's time to give up the pie in the sky and vote the demon out of office.
Check out the Constitution Party or the Libertarian Party and see if they are close to your ideals, and if so support them... They have already started the fight.

I have, I don't like any candidates running. If I vote for them I would be settling. If I vote for Paul I would be settling. ONLY Romney or Obama have a chance of winning and only Obama is likely to win.
I could vote for the Constitution Party. If I do Obama wins. I could write in the name of a person that I may think would do a good job. If so, Obama wins. SO, if it makes zero difference I might as well vote for what I believe in. Either way Obama wins.
Now, where is that ammo sale?
I don't think our founders agreed on everything, but they came together for a common cause. I will support others who have a common goal and good ideas. If the voters are going to win this election from the democrats and republicans, it will take millions of us to unite for a common goal and cause. It is a steep goal, but it is doable if we all come together against our enemies, the democrats, republicans, their lobbyists, and the media.

I sure hope your wrong Joe! Me personally, I will "have" to vote for Romney just to keep my vote AWAY from Obumma. Hopefully "Others" will do the same so we can get rid of the Closet Muslim AND His criminal administration once and for all!
I have been stock piling my ammo and still looking for the Ammo sale cuz ya just can't have enough for things to come IF Obumma gets re-elected!!!!

NO third party is going to win. You will never find the millions you need. While I totally agree with every thing you say, it is NOT going to make a difference. Obama is going to be reanointed.
It has already gone too far. We past the point of no return 40 years ago. It has just taken this long to come to a head.
Just how much worse is Obama than Bush was? I mean I know he is, but would America be any closer to the constitution today if Bush, McCain, or Romney were in charge instead of Obama? The answer is not much if any!

Might have been a noble cause after Obama won. Might be a noble cause four years from now, but just not going to happen this election cycle. Way too late.
