On Tuesday I left Montreal for Dublin, VA (via Somersworth, NH) ..... on Wednesday after I delivered in Dublin, Blacksburg, VA to Warren, MI ... on Thursday, after I delivered in Warren, Warren, MI to Bryan, OH .... then Topeka, IN to Bellefontaine, OH ... then this morning after I delivered in Bellefontaine, Fort Loramie, OH to Grove City, OH .... then Columbus, OH to Baltic, OH ...

And since Baltic was only 35 miles from home, I'm now sitting on the couch .... I'm taking the weekend off .... unless Dispatch calls with something interesting .... maybe ..... :D

I was having a good week until I got to Kokomo..Still without a load, which is really surprising to me for this area, and surrounding ones as well.

Just got my special cargo insurance so I can lease on to multiple carriers. I am getting ready to hit the road on the second week of March but will most likely do some locals runs before then. All I gotta do now is decide which companies i'm going to add onto my list of carriers to haul for and whether or not to file for my own authority now or sometime in the future. I already talked to a few companies and they are willing to take me on as a partner carrier because I am in an area where they have trouble covering loads. I am also in the process og getting my passport so I can start taking freight into Canada again.

Hey ErieDawg, did you get loaded from Iowa to Galesburg?

Was on my way home sense I haven't been there in 3 weeks. Texted my boss to see if it was cool to go out of service. He told me to stay in chattanooga sense,Friday is a busy day for freight where I got a load to Kansas City.

So I picked up from dalton ga to Kansas City and made my,delivery. I'm going to bed so tired lol

Picked up Thursday in Kentucky to Laredo and what a drive it was.

After making my pickup I hit the road and all was going good and was looking forward to some warm weather. About 10:30 that night I stopped to fuel up in West Memphis and headed west. I was noticing some trucks still in the median and thinking to myself that must have been a heck of a mess the prior night. Maybe 20 miles out of town I noticed brakes lights lighting up on trailers a few hundred yards ahead so with lots of space to work with I tapped the brake a few times to warn anyone behind me and lifted my foot of the gas peddle. Then I suddenly see two cars appear out from hiding from in front of the semi ahead of me and they are both spinning their way into the median.

Then it began, a long slow trip all the way to Little Rock. Both west bound lanes were ice covered and not a smooth ice either but a chunked up mess that could make your kidneys feel like they had been in a prize fight. Got to the point where not a soul was in the right lane, all single file down the left lane. I have never seen so many trucks parked on ramps, shoulders and every where else in my life. It would be no exaggeration to say there were at minimum a thousand trucks parked on those shoulder and ramps. It was not scary nor did it seem dangerous as most times the speed was between 5 - 10mph or completely stopped, just a long slow grind. 6 hours later I finally hit clean road at mile marker 116 on I30 west of Little Rock. I was feeling kind of bad about how long it took until I got to Laredo and talked to another Load1 driver who had come through Thursday during the day and he said it took him 8 1/2 hours for the same stretch!

My guess something candy related since Hershey Chocolate dominates the city. Was out there last summer for vacation. If you get a chance during a layover, go to Hershey's Chocolate world at their visitor's center.

Yesterday, as I was running up State Highway 16, northeast of Newark, OH I went past the Longaberger headquarters building, which was pretty cool:

Nope. Not chocolate :-( But some kind of dispay crate with wheels going to some convention. I wonder how busy Hershey, PA will be since Monday is Valentines Day. I seen the museum when I was a kid it was cool

So I was given the ultimatum by my mom...Don't return home unless I bring Chocolate....lol. I sure hope that something in Hershey is open today besides Walmart. Ive gotta DH back home so that I can get measured for a vest for my brothers wedding. Gotta do this by Wednesday. It would be nice if I could get this done without having to DH back to the house.

Now in TX. Delivered a load here at 0500 yesterday. I cannot believe this, we ran TWO REAL expedite loads this week! How odd. I almost forgot what they were like. Ran 5 loads last week, all short but they made for a better than average week. Heading for AR on Monday.
