Monday night moved from Sioux Falls to Albert Lee. Picked up Tuesday afternoon in Elk River and took it to Fowlerville, MI 730 loaded miles. Made the delivery got a little sleep and dispatched called with a load 20 miles away going 530 miles to Gallitin TN. Got it on a few minutes early which was good.
Turned out I needed every minute I had. As soon as I got south of L'ville it was snowing, I65 became a mess. Got to the point where being able to do 40 MPH was moving good. About the 38 mm had to wait while they cleaned up the road from a jack knifed semi they had just hauled away about the time I got there. It took 10 minutes waiting in line just to get off the interstate at exit 2! Once on 31W the roads were not really that bad maybe a couple inches of powder but you would have thought it was ice the way people were driving. Took 50 minutes to go the last 25 miles.
Sitting at the exit 2 J now after a good nights sleep.

Almost 60 hours waiting in the KC area...dispatch says I am 1st out!

Been runnin hard, now at one of those NASTY Pilots in Memphis, the "J" had no room to part. Pick up here tomorrow going to Pascagoola, MS.
We WENT to Olive Branch first. NO parking spot to be found. Could barely move through the lot. People had already "invented" spots that greatly restricted the flow. We won't leave the truck tonight. Our pick up is a mile from here in the morning.

Dropped off in Redford then DH to Holley, Mi to pick up and take to Bucyrus, OH 168 loaded. Dispatch calls me with a preplan for the morning from Delaware, OH to Portland, MI 253 loaded. Gonna finish the week with almost 1300 miles. Sitting (and freezing) at the J in Delaware til I p/u my load at 0800. Still searching for that load South....keeping my fingers crossed. Lol

Sitting at Load1 lot resting. Came from Houston Tx and dropped in Flatrock MI. It was a really rough run due to the weather. The truck was actually sliding sideways in Texas as I was trying to get out of there. It was a scarey feeling having this straight truck take a life of it's own and not being in charge of where it goes. Luckily I got control back very quickly and the roadway was clear around me so no problems that way.
Coming through Arkansas was a nightmare. Traffic was only able to move 20mph due all the ice on the roads. There were many trucks and cars in the ditches overturned, jackknifed or just plan stuck. I know by looking at the results of the crashes that a couple people did not survive their accidents. It was a very terrifying trip.
Trucks were parked in the right lane and just parked there not going any further because it was so hard to get through and the rest stops were over flowing. I am so glad to be back at the home yard.
Just got a call a minute ago from dispatch we are dispatched to Georgia. We pick up at 9pm toinght about 30 miles from the yard and will be taking it to Georgia. So off again tonight. I hope the roads are better this time.

Still sitting in Albert Lea...at least I am being paid to sit here...i'll stick here till later this evening then head out to places unknown at this time...talked to dispatch this morning and told them I am not sitting here all weekend...hoefully they can dig up something soon...as far as loads from here in the past..beeh hit and miss..always had to do a bit of DH, but nothing over the top...will have to see what dispatch can get today, or ill be on my way out this evening...might take out for Peru Ill...got a friend that owns a good place for dinner over there, haven't been there for a month...if i have to sit, might as well be somewhere where i can enjoy the time with friends...

.....On my way to Peru Ill after taken a shower...and I didn't need to change the showerhead...I was at the TA....Sapp Brother tonight....if you (or anyone else from here) are in the Peru Ill area tonight, if i don't get a load between now and then, Ill buy dinner....just PM me....

Change of plans, different load, now we are on our way to Reno, NV from Madison Heights, MI. Just got loaded so on our our way we go. We did get a chance to shower first in the new shower provided by Load1 for us drivers, very nice shower, thanks John Elliott.
