I remember when all the girls had ugly gym uniforms? LOL. And also I would reach into a muddy gutter for a penny. Catching the fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening. I miss good old days.

The quotes around coffee are for places like Starbucks not just plain black coffee
I can get plain old joe for a dollar, but sometimes I want that Venti Caramel Macchiato:D

and most regular gas stations now charge 75 cents for air LOL

I remember when I wished gas stations were closed on Sunday so I didn't have to work

Amoco had white gas (lead free) was cheaper cause gas had to cost more do to the puting in the lead.

A joint was a place to have a drink, not something rolled in paper

When Pa speed limit for trucks was 50 mph, even on turnpike

When couple states out west, had no speed limit

Route 66 was the best way to Califronia, and a tv program with a couple guys driving a Corvette with the same name

I remember when B.C. Fry from Independence, Iowa was banned from the PA turnpike for running his Autocar with the front bumper moved forward about 3 feet to make room for the V-12 CAT, because he was moving about 50 over.

Do you remember:

Bingo stamps and Form D Cab Cards
Fuel decals from each state
The Interstate Commerce Commission
When drivers were Knights of the Highways
When people were considerate
Cars were cool with Craggar SS 50 series wheels in the back, 70's up front
A big motorcycle was a 750
Disco was cool (Still is for me and Jerry Hayes!)
A deal was done on a handshake

I remember when car engines were measured in cubic inches, not litres. Like 427 ci, 440 ci 455 ci,429 ci, oh yes and the mighty 426 hemi ci. Those were the good old days when a guy would not want anything less than 400 ci under the hood of his car.

you forgot 260,289,302,304,305,318,350,352,396,400,472,500,502,572

I may have left a couple out LOL

I remember when everyone would go the Detroiter Truck Stop and there was five parking spots for Expedite trucks. The parking lot out front was filled with Cargo Vans. The 1st Expedite Expo was in the parking lot at Detroiter.
