Just to expand - not only did he NOT say that, but "abolishing medicare and medicaid" is NOT "a popular notion among conservatives". His proposal appears to offer future generations of Americans a choice between the existing medicare / medicaid programs and health savings accounts. They could sign up for one or the other. He did not say that and clarified it on Fox News this morning
we will have to elect him, then after that, we can see what he will really do... you know when politicians are running for office (and yes he is a politician since he is in politics and running for election), they will say anything, and then after they are elected, you see who they really are...whatever he or any politician says can be taken with a grain of salt, as far as I am concerned, its like they say, if you see their lips moving, then they are lying...and it is funny when they can't keep their lies straight.Just to expand - not only did he NOT say that, but "abolishing medicare and medicaid" is NOT "a popular notion among conservatives". Ah, the Nancy Pelosi Maneuver.we will have to elect him, then after that, we can see what he will really do...
It's not true - just another outright lie from Politico.Looks like Carson might be digging a tough whole to get out of if this is true.
Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship
It's not true - just another outright lie from Politico.
No, Ben Carson Didn't Lie About West Point. It's Another Media Hit Job.
So you know that Westmoreland or other military personel didn't tell him 'we can get you in to West Point', essentially offering him a scholarship? The only "outright lie" is on Carson, who said more than once that he "was offered a full scholarship to West Point", which is not true. He was encouraged to apply, [probably by General Westmoreland, as he says], but he was never offered a scholarship.
Politico has the integrity to straighten it out when they get it wrong, which is more than you can say for the right wing sites and talking heads, who simply ignore what is proven wrong.
No politico simply adjusted there hesdline. They still state they stand 100% behind the original story. They actually lied stating his campaign admitted it was a lie which is not what they did.The only "outright lie" is on Carson, who said more than once that he "was offered a full scholarship to West Point", which is not true. Westmoreland's schedule shows he wasn't in Detroit the weekend Carson claims to have met him.So you know that Westmoreland or other military personel didn't tell him 'we can get you in to West Point', essentially offering him a scholarship?
Probably mixed up the banquets.Westmoreland's schedule shows he wasn't in Detroit the weekend Carson claims to have met him.
Carson’s Westmoreland story doesn’t match records
If by "the banquets" you mean reality, I'd say you're right.Probably mixed up the banquets.
