thanks for the heads up. We found the issue, it was a bad connection on a rear abs sensor.

    stretched volvo

So I stretched a Volvo VNL Ishift daycab to accomodate a 26ft body. Everything turned out fine, except now I have this weird issue. When turning from a dead stop either direction, I will get a complete dead spot in the throttle response for like 3-5 seconds. This only happens when turning...

    DPF acting odd

Check engine light back. P1459 is the code. truck has no power, barely idles. turn it off and it runs fine for a while, albeit in limp mode. I think a valve is not working or stuck. runs fine when cold, but after it warms up all heck breaks loose until it is turned off and restarted

    DPF acting odd

the dpf was replaced due to a recall. The truck finally gave me a check engine light for the temp sensor. I ohmed the first one and it was 140 ohms. ohmed the 2nd and it was at .210. The new one fixed it. BTW the new one ohmed at .219

    DPF acting odd

Had the DPF replaced about 60k miles ago. Just recently, when watching the bar display for dpr, after getting to 1 bar, it jumps to 3 bars within 10 miles. I am getting about 70 miles before it regens.

hopefully someone can help me. The radiator on my 2008 338 is about shot and has a small leak. It seems the part number for 2005-2007 is 16400e0070 and for 2008 16400e0260. However, most places that sell radiators are saying 2005-2008 are all the same. What if any is the difference?

My 2008 Hino 338 has recently had the check engine light come on twice for code P0087, fuel/rail pressure to low. My rail pressure is about 26,500-27,000 psi at 65mph and at idle its about 8000-9000psi. Are these normal figures and What normally triggers the p0087 code?

I have a good amount of coolant leaking from under the dash. I assume its the heater core as its coming from that area. Any tips or instructions on replacing one on an 08 338? Looks like the bottom dash needs to come off. Any help appreciated!

Do you happen to know the part number for the cap and filter? My turbo to intercooler hose had a bunch of tar like substance. However, the turbo did go out and was replaced. Since then I cleaned the hose and now its just oily. My crankcase blow by hose is fairly clean, but my compressor...

"If the turbo intake is relatively clean, but oily goo is coming out of the compressor outlet and ending up in the intercooler, this can be a problem. Given enough time, the goo effectively blocks much of the core, starving the engine of air." I assume the compressor needs a rebuild or...
