    Have to agree with Dave, some, not all dispatchers are geographically challenged, it seems easier for them to just skip over you than to look at a map. Also as you know it will be harder to find a load as a solo going to Texas. Although you might have some luck for a delivery for Tuesday.

    Try to remember that the FSC is only meant to cover the cost of a part of the fuel cost. Also you can stay closer to some of your delivery and hold off heading to the truckstop, until you actually need to go to it.

    To be polite. Can it be done yes, will you do it probably not. You might do it once or twice in a career at todays rates, but you will be in the top two or three percent. So look for a more reasonable number.

    I've been inspected several time, and I don't remember them every checking the tire rating. Maybe they did and I just didn't see it.

    Start with full tanks, write down the odometer reading. Keep track of all the fuel that you have put in. After you run about 10K miles Fuel up again and then you will know. It will also help to slow down 5 or 10 miles an hour.

    I would watch the idle time, along with not running more than a few minutes at a time on cruise control. Other than that I was always told to break um in like you would drive it.
