It all depends, If it 150 miles of deadhead for an 1800 mile load at your regular rate going to an area that you can get a follow up load, then it would be okay

I don't think the region has as much to do with it when you are running for larger expediting companies. Yes some carriers do better than others on the east coast, but you would be running the entire country. If you want to be running mostly the east coast than consider an air freight company...
