    schneider

You might have to read the whole deal, it will normally say start at UP to .40 per mile with 3 mo. exper. Not many companys will "bend" over backwards for a unskilled rookie, let alone a truck driver.

    Phil's truck

Greg, Me thinks that it is 600lbs times tire width, not foot print. That applies when some states don't just have limit on total weight on the axle. The six hundred can vary by state. Now about that TV.......

    deadhead pay

    >Hey Frogger, >Deadhead is the pitance your carrier affords you to aid in >the cost of "authorized" relocation to a freight zone, >insignificant at best but every little bit helps. >Accessorial pay is for the warm and fuzzy touch or when you >are required to do somthing other than haul...

I thought as long as you did not drive outside of your state you could be 18, maybe not. As far as expediting thou you would have to be 21. Met a couple who along with their daughter were going to team drive, two months on and one month at home for each of them. I thought that was a cool idea.

    Isuzu truck info

EGL is one, but they shy away from those trucks for some reason, and it must be dock high and any color as long as it is white.

    Phil's truck

I have seen two of the Volvo 770 sleepers streched to somewhere around 10 to 11 feet. looked kind of neat. Must be some very good welders, because I could see no seam and no warp at all. But I did see them from across the Interstate. Funny thing was I saw them just a few days apart and have not...

    Phil's truck

Even with the heavy duty front axel, I think that you run into the fed. limit but on page A15 of the Motor Carriers' road atlas '06 it says 34k for tandem drive axle, so why plate it for more than that? Maybe I don't fully grasp the rule.

    Phil's truck

I agree, it looks like the tandems are near the front of the box, so little weight will go on the front axel. Nice looking truck.

    Amount of truck payment

Team or single? But I go with Broom, less, is more. Less payment leaves more comfort. Maybe drive for an owner first, save the money and put it towards a down payment. then you could answer several questions. 1. how much can I afford. 2. what kind of sleeper do I want. And the all important...
