We ended up staying at the KOA Campground San Diego. It's a very nice place, lot's of friendly people, patrolled by campground security 24 hrs and best of all QUIET! I would like to thank everyone for the suggestions they gave us. We will keep these in mind for the next "mini vacation" :)
