    Flying J Drops Visa

Unfortuneately Ontario, they'll probably save that 10K each day before noon chain wide, by not having to pay visa their percentage. Big business is mind bogleing, what is a very large sum to you and I, is just an accounting shift to them. Not to stick up for them, but, we have been using TAB...

    Contractors hiring drivers

So, after he listened intently to your post test critical statements, i'll bet he asked. . . . 1. When do I start? 2. When is the first payday? 3. Can you get me a truck with a larger sleeper? 4. A newer truck? 5. Can I have Memorial Day weekend off? And you said. . . . ?

    Weekend Freight (or lack thereof)

You may have hit the nail squarely on the head. When they bought American, I was gone the next day. Seemed I could see the writing on the wall.

Well watd'ja do there Robsdad, get outa the pan into the fire? Graduate? Don't think so. Not anywhere near a grad-e-ate yet. Not being a smart arse here, but, i'm still working my degree in this business after a bit of windshield time. The triangle as you call it, is good for single...

How to be a good team member??

I'd put em on mileage pay, and pay em for what they drive, if'n it waz me. Might break em of sukk'in them eggs. Probably not tho, they'll wanna be paid for the ride'in, be my guess. Self discipline is a very rare thing in our society these days.

    Just Wondering????

Interestingly there truckerb, if a fella d put a couple three loads on you you'd whine bout the mileage pay too. Right?? I can hear the phone ring now. It's always an interesting discussion when they get a second or third, when they demand milage pay. I love it!! The foolishness of it all.

    slooooooooow

That is correct. We had a D in Detroit yesterday that run a 10 miler and a 8 miler, while waiting to load a NY. Those needed to move as much as the NY run. Many reading here don't understand/care, that, if their Carrier's phone quits ringing - - - so will theirs.

    slooooooooow

Thats OK TJ, didn't see a thing personal about it. No biggie if it was. Dave, most of em that are not doing well, it seems to me, have no clue about if their working for or, with a Carrier. They simply are working for them. The words we/us are not in their vocabulary. Them is tho. Seems...

    slooooooooow

Well Tom, seems by your last paragraph, you are going to get it right. As Broompilot so eloquently put it a while back, "an ity bity Carrier like you" (yes, we have all of three machines running) after going thru thirty something clowns and clownettes in the last couple years, we finaly have the...

    Just a few Ouestion

Well Rajay, to be specific, you can make lots as a driver. And, lots and lots, as an owner operator. You will probably gross more as a team. If, you choose to share a truck with someone else.
