    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

hapearce1 I’ve been doing some research on the K&N air filters. There’s findings supporting there claims and findings that don’t. So I decided the best way to end the debate for me was my own testing. A test that I haven’t seen yet and I think is the one needed. I just did an oil change and have...

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

It’s an interesting artical on K&N and others for sure. I had a bike shop and installed a lot of K&N filters. Serviced Harley’s with 200,000 miles on them with K&N filter since new. I took care of a few bikes that traveled the United States and Canada year around with a ton of miles and not an...

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

It is true if you drown them in oil it could effect the mass air flow sensor. It does that by coating it in oil. The oil holds in heat and gives faults readings. I’ve sold and installed hundreds of K&N filters and never heard this before. Interesting though, I’ll have to do some digging.

It could depending on the size of the cooler. They have an oil cooler from the factory located under the intake. It’s actualy part of the filter housing. Coolant is circulated through the housing. The capacity isn’t much though.

In Persuit Of The PERFECT Van Bed Set Up

I agree with Turtle sleeping sitting up for even one day is not an option for me Lol. Maybe the age thing. Slept over the wheel in a big truck many many times. Slept over the dog house in a day cab cabover corn binder. 40 years ago. now I have fitted sheets and pillows and blankets and I sleep...

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

I ran into a guy that goes 20,000 between changes. Highway driving it won’t give a oil change light until 10,000 miles. I change between 5-7. It’s probably over kill but it’s cheap and easy to do. I try to rotate my tires with every oil change as well. If I change it on the road I rotate the...

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

Mines just over the full mark with 6 qts, so I’m not sure. It’s not a big deal either way. Over or under to an extent isn’t going to cause any harm. Certainly not a few ounces. You need to be over filled enough that the crank will actually fling the oil. That could make it foam up. To low the...

Just started, questions about van life (Ram Promaster 2500)

I bought a used espar from a big truck junk yard. 150 bucks got everything with it. Took an hour to install it fired right up. It’s going on it’s 4th winter. I did a complete service on it 2 years ago. Everything looked perfect inside. Might be an option to look at. My step father has been in...

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

Not sure, im sure it’s never going to hurt anything but I want all the oil I can get in it. Even thought about adding another qt to the pan size.

    Cargo Van Promaster Oil Change

I see some guys putting 5.5 qts 5.3 etc, not sure why. The book calls for 6 qts (5.6 liters). That’s all I’ve ever put in mine. Almost 520,000 miles not an issue yet.

Great new video showcasing Load One.

Started on a B with a quadraplex. No power steering no air ride seats. Seats were bolted to the floor. Stack of springs 16” thick. The wing window would break your pinky finger it was that close to the steering wheel. Didn’t have enough power to pull a sick whre off a poop pot. I’m that old lol.

Cargo Van Promaster (Gas) ticking sound from engine

I replaced the rear cams, lifters and rockers myself. Replaced one rocker on the front head. The rollers on the rocker arm fails. If you run it to long it will ruin the cam lobe. Not a big job at all. I haven’t had any issues getting any parts for mine. Replaced the fans few months ago. Ordered...

Can i screw into the floor of promaster in the front floor?

Remove the airbag sensor in the seat. Remove the seat plug in the sensor and secure it. Leave the frame from seat in place build on top of that. You can also buy a new seat sensor for the air bag.

    Cargo Van's starting to log?

We don't log but the company does. We get 18hrs total clock time, with 16 hrs drive time. 1hr taken for loading and 1 hr for unloading. Supposedly figured at 50 mph miles per hr at 18 hours for a total of 900 miles. Or 55 mph 16 hrs drive time 880 miles, OR 45 mph with 16 hours drive time 720...
