own authority straight truck pay when dealing with agents

Well "southern," I sent you a private message with some legitimate answers, but evidently you don't seem to appreciate the help. I will give you a hint about Landstar, and reasons that an agent will use your truck, rather than giving it to a BCO. 1. No BCO available to accept the load. 2...

Do straight truck have to keep a log book

You better remember to stop and scale at ANY weigh station you come across. Here's your technical answer. If you are running interstate or inTRAstate freight within 150 miles of your home terminal EXCLUSIVELY, then you do not need a log book, but you will need a time card. Being caught...

    How will this truck work?

Personally, I would not give up on air brakes when considering a truck that heavy, just because of a fluke. They are still more resilient than hydraulics for a big truck.

    Folding up the top bunk

I didn't realize that there was an unemployment line on the other end of the strap.

    Folding up the top bunk

Rocketman, you were correct. There is a strap that runs along the underside of the bunk that unlatches it. Thank you.

    Folding up the top bunk

Just recently lost the driver in one of my trucks. He folded down the top bunk in the Freightliner FLD. Now I cannot seem to get it back up. Is there some clasp I am missing that releases it? This is a standard integrated sleeper.

    Express 1 Buyout

Mostly semi? Not sure how many truckloads they move a day, but they've posted about 50 expedite loads so far today alone, and only 3-4 of them were tractor loads. Even though they're just up the road from each other, they do operate pretty independently it seems.

    6.8L V10 Engine/E350 Engines

Ford stopped offering the diesel engine in 2010 models, I believe. Somewhere about then anyways. If you want new, you're out of luck for a diesel, unless you go with GM. Plenty of used ones around though.

You can still get a Powerstroke, just not a 7.3 after 2003.

    6.8L V10 Engine/E350 Engines

If it is for a cargo van, I would say no need. I had a V-10 in an E450 that was set up as a cube van. 60mph granted us about 11.5 mpg. At 70, it was more like 9.5mpg. It is lighter that the powerstroke, but has almost as much torque. That cube had a GVW of 14050, and could clear over 5000...

    72 Hour Blitz

Me too. I think I've seen more "blitz" going on in certain places outside of that 72 hour window than during it.

    DeMaris Transportation

If it were an ongoing problem, you would probably have heard about it by now. So how far do these bills date back? $9000 is a lot to suddenly be owed. And if $9000 is owed, then why were you still there after $3000? I had a guy badger me one time about getting paid on jobs, but the problem...
