72 Hour Blitz

With the 72 hour blitz coming up this week I hope everyone keeps safety on their mind and their money in their wallets or purses. Don't want to turn this into a Soapbox thread really just more of a reminder, but with huge budget deficits some states may have ordered extra ticket pads counting on a huge ROI.

The scale on I40 just west of Statesville, N.C. was doing some inspecting. The I71 scale near Wilmington, Oh. was real busy. I believe I saw Mr. Snappy getting a full body cavity search at that one.

But, yeah, the last couple of years I've wondered where the actual blitz was happening. Drove all over passing scales that were closed or just weighing.

Me too. I think I've seen more "blitz" going on in certain places outside of that 72 hour window than during it.

Highway Star. you are correct.they where working hard and the lot was full and that was me in Wilmington.
I will have to say that the Dot Officer that did my Insp was one of the nicest Dot Officers I have ever talked with..He treated me with respect and was very polite..
And I made a extra 250.00 bonus from Load 1 for passing a Level 1 Insp..
