Good point Tim. I must admit that I am guilty for re-using the same K&N air filter for the last 2 years. But I did give it a shower every 3 weeks, Lol.. Ya I drove that much. As far as the oil, yep your advice is as good as gold. Changed as scheduled.

    Hello August

Picked up a load yesterday. Scheduled for a drop on Monday. I got up to 48 hrs of phone time to try to get unloaded. Well, that didn't last long. Got a call back from a very kind facility manager this morning..."Bring in the shipments, I'll have someone there waiting for you." Thank you...

    Used tires can save money

Folks, thank you for your inputs. More opinions are appreciated. For many good reasons, I too, would recommend the new tires over the used tires. And, under certain circumstances, I personally, would also feel comfortable to purchase the used tires. IMHO, If you have to get the used tires...

    The driving...

Totally true! Coffee, is a very powerful diuretic drink. Sometimes older folks think that it's the common problems with the aging process that caused the urinary accident and urgency. Try stopping coffee and other diuretic tinted drinks for a month, most folks will find that they are no...

    The driving...

RoadTime has a good point. The body and mind need time to adapt. I remembered the "pain" when I first drove 800 miles. It wasn't physical pain, it's more like the mental pain. I fought trying to keep awake and alert to deliver the load. Now, my body and mind are working in concert, adapted...

Lol...Guess what? According to the link table. "Non- English speaking driver" was the 2nd most cited violations. I'm not bashing here, but ? So do they pay the fine and back at driving again? Wait, I got an idea. Send these drivers to Bangkok for a vacation and the English language...

Emergency fund, where should you put it?

Very true. Though, I like to have it tied to something. Sometimes emergency are not a true emergency. By having it tied up in a special account it gives me a bit more time to look for other options first and to really evaluate the emergency. From my past experiences, most of the time it is...

    Dkp express and other questions

I would give DKP a call and get more answers. Historically, CV/Sprinter freights in and out of CA are very, very unpredictable. Some of the O/Os, I'm included, frequently have to reposition ourselves eastward to make sure that we are in the main freight lanes. Good luck.
