Cargo Van When to replace your van

An experienced van fleet owner/driver once told me that a typical well maintained expedited gasser van should be able to hold up to about 600k. That's the time when the the replacement should be considered. But if the frequent costly repairs, headaches and stresses are winning, forget about...

    Ford Transit question.

If the trans was fine before the flush and there's a problem after, I'd go back and let them correct the problem. Flushing can damage internal parts. Got to report the problem to them. That way if the problem worsen may be they do something about it. Hope it nothing major.

    Ford Transit question.

Had a tranmission flushed at about 150000 miles on a personal sub compact Ford car. A week later it went out. Told by several transmission guys thay they refused to flush any trans over 100k. They recommended drain, fill and a new filter. Make sense, I like that. My NV van now is at 469k...

    Loads you wouldn't take.

Agree. As long as it legal and safe, I'll take it. One crappy load means better opportunity for the next one. After all, it all comes down to customer service and business relationship. Lol, IMHO of course.

    Is it possible?

Lol....Deluding, in the cargo van sector of expediting, it's more like a symptom of insanity. Good news, it's temporary and curable. All one has to do is step out from the cargo van and permanently park it.

    Is it possible?

In general, cargo van owner operators used the rule of thirds formula to break down the projected annual gross into the income and expenses. One third is for the income and the other two thirds are for all business related expenses. So for an example, to net 3K a month, the owner operators...
