How are you doing with the Load Opps?

The order that the load opportunities come in determines what will be counted as a refusal. If you accepted the first load that comes across the QC you will get no refusals. If you accepted the second load you will get one refusal for the first load that comes across. If you think of the...

    husband/wife team looking for opportunity

Good luck at Drumrite that is where Bob went to school and he liked most of the instructors and also enjoyed the school. We were lucky the school was not too far from the house and he was able to come home on the weekends. After getting out of school Bob drove for USX and I just rode with...

    Get a fan

The reason we first got a fan was due to the Fantastic Vent. When it starts raining the dang things shuts and it would get to stuffy in the truck. We found out quickly with our fan that the truck actually cools down faster and we can stay cooler so it ends up running most of the summer.

    Customer LOCK

There seems to be some confusion about locks right now as I believe we are seeing some new ones. When a load comes available and you are qualified to take the load the dispatcher dispatching the load has to make a quick call to who has you locked and ask for you to be released so they can send...

Important Ruling on In Cab Laptops pending

We are still running our Lane Departure Warning System, the electronic rumble strips I have talked about before. It is amazing to us that about 95% of the time when we push talk on the phone, or just reach for the phone 1/2 of our tire goes over the passenger side white line. Never knew that...

    Layover pay

If we have a confirmed delivery and they cannot accept the freight we get paid very well to babysit it. If we take a load without a confirmed delivery that show we are going to deliver on Saturday, we accept the load know it is not confirmed and the load confirms for a Monday delivery we get to...

Bob thinks you probably all ready have a 12,000lb front axle you will need to go to 14,000lb plus and the 12" tires. Bob is think 1/2 to 3/4 lost in mpg but that is speculation but at the cost of fuel that is a huge loss over a year.

    Axle weight

Joe, do you have the figures for the drives backwards? The rear axle with tag or pusher down should weigh less. Bob thinks you have two options get a heavier front axle, suspension, and bigger tires to handle 14,000lbs or move the axle’s forwards which Bob thinks would be cheaper and better...
