Hi, we are a 26-years-married couple tired of living separate lives. Husband has 15+ years varied experience, including cattle, flatbed, oilfield, general freight and ltl. Wife will soon be at Central Tech in Drumright, OK to get her CDL. We have looked at FedEx Custom Critical-we have friends there--not sure if that's the best fit for us. What other companies are husband/wife friendly? Can anyone give us some info, please? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. PLEASE take time to read as much as you can. We took almost 6 months before we made our move. We run for FDCC and it works well for us. We drove for an owner for 2 years and bought our own truck last July. Take your time. If you go with FDCC I recogmend you drive for a owner for a while to insure this life style fits you. Get as many "things" under you name as possible. By things I mean hazmat, radmat, etc etc etc. The more you have the better the chances of working. Ask away, many here with more experiecne than I will help. Layoutshooter

Good luck at Drumrite that is where Bob went to school and he liked most of the instructors and also enjoyed the school. We were lucky the school was not too far from the house and he was able to come home on the weekends.

After getting out of school Bob drove for USX and I just rode with him. When we decided to drive team we felt we had enough time under our belts to buy a truck and put it on with FedEx Custom Critical. We have not looked back since!

Good Luck and the more time you can spend reading and if you see an Expediter on the road ask a million questions!
