    Canada Super Singles / Permit

I need the rules for Canada as it looks as if we need a permit for many of the provinces. No OVM I have not checked with a scale house in Canada just learned of this permit. I do not want to accept a load into Quebec and have this problem and have to buy the permit as I am sure the load will...

    Canada Super Singles / Permit

We were listening to Business and Beyond the other night and a Canadian called in that had just received a $1,100.00 fine in Quebec for not having a permit for Super Singles. From what I understand the legal weight you can haul with S/S is pretty minimal unless you have the permit. He was...

    820th RED HORSE Squadron

I see I forgot to mention a few details! We delivered a load near Las Vegas so immediately headed over to see our daughter who has only been back from Iraq about a month. She has been talking about this event and if at all possible she wanted us to attend. I believe she was the only Captain...

    *&^%^ Speed Limiters!!

In my own thoughts when you lease on to a company you agree to their procedures. If you do not like their procedures then you can find a new company or if you want to write your own procedures get your own authority. Right now there is a lot more trucks then freight so our position is very...

    *&^%^ Speed Limiters!!

Has anyone seen what the fines are if you are caught in Ontario or Quebec without the speed limiter?

    *&^%^ Speed Limiters!!

Once again Dave Panther might not have much freight in Canada but FedEx Custom Critical does and much of it is on a sealed truck. FCC also has a fleet of trucks that run Canada but that does not solve this problem of a sealed straight truck. Your logical reply is for Panther and it sounds...

    *&^%^ Speed Limiters!!

Jim the choice is yours if you do not want to put the speed limiter on change companies. No way would I cover my face so I would have to move to a different company. Our company made a choice we can accept the choice or not. Jim I do not agree at all with what Canada has done. When the...

    *&^%^ Speed Limiters!!

How often have most of us said when you go to another country you follow their laws? Well Ontario and Quebec have changed their laws. We are leased to a company that has high security freight that goes into this country and the company we are leased to have said add the speed limiter or...

    RoadCheck 2009 ,June 2-4 !

We have heard the same thing on FedEx Custom Critical trucks and had to chuckle over that one. I was once told to pull around back and the DOT officer came over and told me to go on as there was no sense checking us as they were looking for trucks with problems and so far he had never found any...

    How's the Water?

You can look around and see how many people are still posting from the time you left in December. Some are still doing very well and some are making ends meet the same as it was in December. We are moving into a time of the year where we are normally busy and freight does seem to have picking...

    RoadCheck 2009 ,June 2-4 !

For us it makes sense to get a Level one inspection to turn into FedEx Custom Critical as one of our yearly inspections. A free inspection is always nice! They are no big deal and if you do have a problem I would rather find it out before the accident happens.

    Why is it?

We have found that expediters seem to be more communicative then and other form of trucking we have been involved in.
