    Van or S/T?

That's a good idea about standing between the seats, makes it easier to get around. I like the SRW/ the drawback from what I see is when installing an a/c on top you loose 90% of the aerodynamics. Their is only one place you can mount it because of the fiberglass roof. That's another thing...

    Van or S/T?

This is not a cube. The is the CW model with single wheel. Street wide version. 3500 chevy. Gross weight 9600 pds, the same as a van. It's fiberglass van body. See it @ <Unicell.com> I don't want anything that will raise the gvw of the vehicle over 10k. The only problem with this vehicle...

    Van or S/T?

Most of the (what I call yard trucks) chassis on dealer yards are standard straight trucks with nothing on them, also most have the 4:10 and 3:73 gearing. I don't mind the 3:73 but I don't need a 4:10. You have to find a dealer that will work with you, most don't because of limited mark up...

    Van or S/T?

You are right about the pool chassis, that's why I'm ordering to my spec's through a chevy dealer who is also a unicell dealer. I have a 3.42 in my p/up but not sure how it would perform with a load. If you have a 6.0 w/a 3.42 what kind of mileage are you averaging? The diesel thing probably...

    Van or S/T?

The reason I chose the Aerocell CW, it's not much bigger than a van but close to the size of the Sprinter and lighter than the stock van by 700 pds. I can carry 3,000# and stay under the 10K limit. It has the aerodynamics needed for fuel mileage. Adding AirTab's will also help. I'm supposed...

    sprinter alternator cable

Everyone should do that. Factory cables are the cheapest money can by. After the first year of operation with weather and all a vehicle looses 75% of it's grounding because of salt and all that other stuff. While your at it take a 1 O/T cable and run it from your negative battery post to the...

    Van or S/T?

I am in the process of ordering a Chevy 3500 cutaway with a Aerocell box on the back. I will be able to handle 3 pallets but I'm still going to be under 10K. The CW Aerocell body has 500cu ft of loading space. I am also going to have a Power Deck installed so there will be no sliding of...

    Your Sprinter Sleeper

A friend of mine at the local parts store will sell me the Trojan 305 for $130 but I have to have a trade-in. It hard to find one much less 4. I'm going around to the county dump sites and looking for old battery's. If I don't have a trade then it goes up $18 a battery. Not picking on your...

anyone running a 6.6 duramax box truck ?

You probably have a 4.10 axle ratio. If that's the case tuned to it's peak and a bully Dog you might get 16 if you drive about 60mph.

    Rev's Ride 1

I'm starting to deal with a dealer about the Unicel. They have a CW model and a SRW model that really looks good for our industry. A great deal cheaper than a Sprinter if specked right. One model is 500 cubic feet of load space for under a 10K truck.

    Rev's Ride 1

I just noticed the date, thanks! I was wondering why he put E-trac on the floor and none on the walls. I don't know if there is anywhere to brace on the walls looking at it. Nice truck though.

    Custom sleepers for tractors

Volvo's put their fuel tanks to far forward. If you have the room I suggest sliding them back some. It doesn't take much to get a few hundred pounds of the steer and w/o major mod's.

    Rev's Ride 1

Air Tabs should be a tremendous help for your rig.

    Rev's Ride 1

Great looking ride. Keep us informed on it's progress and if it gets you more freight. Also, how is it powered? Gas? Mpg so forth and so forth. How deep is the sleeper and how much room does it leave for freight. Can you still get the bulk of the freight on top or ahead of the rear...

    fuel milage

My last expedite truck was a D unit Sterling with a C-15 Cat 450hp and tandem axles. I averaged 9mpg loaded and empty running about 16-17oo rpm. You should be doing at least 1 more mpg. But depends on the gearing as well. Oh yes I had a 10 spd.

    Nissan takes aim at Sprinter

Be very, very careful. This vehicle has the same engine as the TiTan and it sucks gas down like no tomorrow. I don't own a Sprinter but the Nissan has a long way to go to match fuel economy.

    Sprinter options

It sounds like the new engines are getting less mileage, is that true?

Best motor for c/v for expediting?

Merry Christmas. The best way to run a test is with a vehicle that has GPS and can give a performance report, (ie) fuel mileage etc.

Best motor for c/v for expediting?

Another Tidbit of news. Chrysler found that they were having problems with rear seals burning out of their transmissions. They found it to be static electricity. Does GM know. Well don't know that but the correct way to do this cannot be done on an assembly line. You have to know what to...
