It's a Team's Life
While we are at home we stay busy!
Two years ago a friend of mine and I planned our Disneyland trip so we could see the new Cars Land. Our youngest daughter who is in the military would be coming home for a couple of weeks and so we moved the Disneyland trip to coincide with her schedule. She invited her best friend from Alaska and her daughter bringing up the total to 7 people. All of us have been to Disneyland before and we knew where we wanted to go and what we liked. The trip was a blast and was over way to quickly.
The girls and I were able to fly home together and get ready
for our annual barn party.
We hit the
ground running as we had guests flying in the next day.
All in all we ended up with eleven people
staying in the house, a Winnebago outside with three people, and a truck with
two people.
Barnapalooza officially
starts on Friday evening but we had people starting to arrive on Thursday
evening and departing on Sunday.
The weather partially cooperated and we had a couple of sunny days with rain on the main day of the party. Our shop is big enough that we were able to have two games of corn hole going on with lots of room for people to sit around and visit or play other games. Even with a steady drizzle it was not enough to put out a four-day bonfire.
The Caffcadia is not left out through all of this. The truck was taken to the shop for an oil change, all new belts, and filters. Bob was able to redo the floor in the box and also swapped the drivers side seat with the passenger seat. Swapping the seats prolongs the life of these chairs. He swapped out the cushions not the whole seats as we have swivel stands.
It is now time to head back to work and take a well-deserved break! Brandy heads back overseas for a few months before coming back to the states and her new base.
