It's a Team's Life
School is back in session!
We have a class in Saint Louis of 4th graders and we have two classes in France that are combined.
The kids in France have sent us small sound videos where they talk about themselves. They also send us questions through their teacher about us, our house, what we do for fun, and living in the United States. We send them post cards a couple times a month, the cost of a Post Card stamp right now to France is $1.05 and the kids seem to really enjoy the cards.
Our class in Saint Louis sends us letters each month via email and I reply back with questions about them and their activities. All correspondence goes through the teacher and she helps to keep us up to date on the students and their activities during their school day.
We try to bring the truck to the school twice a year and enjoy showing the kids the truck, inside the sleeper, inside the box, and how our lift gate works. We also talk about safety when walking around trucks, riding their bikes around trucks, and also when they are riding with their parents on where the No Zone areas of the truck is.
We have found that the kids really enjoy learning about the
truck and ask a lot of good questions.
Our hope is that they remember what they are learning from us and when
they get their drivers license they will understand why we move slow, blind
spots, and that drivers are people as well.
