It's a Team's Life
Highlights Mats 2013
We had a lot of firsts this year at MATS and it was exiting and exhausting.
The Caffcadia was parked next to Henry Albert's truck in the Papa Johns parking lot next to Freightliners "Team Run Smart†Hospitality tent. We started showing our truck on Wednesday and at one time we had eight people in the truck chatting. We really enjoyed talking to other drivers and prospective drivers about the Cascadia, Bolt sleeper, and also about Team Run Smart.
We spent much of our time in the Freightliner booth at the Team Run Smart counter talking with drivers about the new web site. Together all of the Pro's and ATBS signed up over 3000 people to Team Run Smart.
This was the first year that we were involved in a workshop
at MATS and the "Game Plan" was well attended and we enjoyed the
speakers.
Next year we hope to move
involved with this workshop.
The Trucking Solutions Group MATS Driver Health Walk was a huge success and included stars such as Administrator Anne Ferro and TA/Petro CEO Tom O'Brien. We walked this year on Friday afternoon and this seemed to work out better for everyone involved.
Women in Trucking "Salute to Women Drivers" was
well attended with almost 200 women CDL holders in the picture.
The featured speaker, Sandra Ambrose was
really inspirational talking about her truck repair business and safe parking.
I am glad I did not miss her talk.
Due to being very busy from sun up to way after sun down it was hard spend time with friends we usually only see at truck shows. Finally on Saturday night we were able to spend a little time visiting and then on Sunday was the annual Cracker Barrel breakfast! We look forward to this year as a way to catch up with each other.
Before we knew it we were back on the road hauling
freight!
