Christmas in Florida

We needed to get laundry done, we needed showers, and we needed a quiet place to rest up after a hard week of running hard.   The choices are limited on what was surrounding us and we were thinking we might end up getting a hotel for the weekend; this is always our last choice.

The debate was on, drive out of our way to get to a truck stop, look for an RV campground that accepts commercial vehicles, or find a hotel room.   On our way to the grocery store to stock up there was a sign along the interstate for the "Christmas RV Campground" that was on the way to Orlando.

One short phone call and they welcomed us with open arms.   This is the off-season and the park was about 1/2 empty.   Not sure we would try this during the winter months.   When we told Roger that we needed to do laundry he told us "No problem" I will park you near the laundry room and shower facilities.   He was true to his word.

There was plenty of room for our truck and while here the park loaned Bob a hose and he was able to get the truck washed.   While he was working on the outside I made good use of my time and cleaned out cupboards and gave the sleeper and cab a deep cleaning.

In the afternoon we headed for the pool and had a grand time floating around enjoying life.   We also met another couple that are from Nebraska and have converted a Frito Lay trailer into living quarters pulled by and older truck.

This RV Park was spotless and if you are ever in the area this is the place to stay.   Friendly people, nice accommodations, and a chance to regroup and head on out to Orlando for a pickup.
