The last time we attended Kevin Rutherford's Certified Master Contractor Class was in 2008 and a lot has changed since then. The CMC is now a five-day event instead of two days and the attendee’s trucks are part of the event.
This year the CMC will be held in Kansas City, MO September 9th -13th, 2013 at Harrah’s and there is plenty of room to park everyone’s trucks. Pre registration will start on Sunday September 8th with the CMC starting at 8:00 each morning and the main event ending at 5:00 but the fun does not stop there!
The afterhours events start each day at 6:30 featuring an amazing array of industry professions; Mike Beckett, MD Alignment, NACFE, Smart Truck, FASS, Lipe Clutch, Counteract Balancing, and Evans Coolant.
During the day attendees will learn about negotiating, deciding what are good and bad loads, how to figure costs, how to spec and purchase a truck and lots and lots of information from Kevin Rutherford.
One of the speakers I am really looking forward to hearing in person is Larry Winget, Author and Motivational Speaker. Larry will be talking about "The Cold Hard Ugly Truck about Success". This motivational talk I am sure will be an in your face and get motivated blast.
Bob and I both are excited to finally meet Mike Beckett in person as we have talked with him several times on the phone.
Continuing education is always high on our list and this five-day event is one that hits every area of trucking and all of the paperwork involved to keep a successful business successful.
