5/20 Country Kitchen Diner
The diner is located at the junction of Highway 5 & 20 in Shipshewana, IN and has a medium sized graveled lot for truck parking. Look before backing as we saw a lot of Amish buggies of all sizes near this location, with a few horse and buggies waiting in the parking lot for their owners.
We started on Route 20 in Michigan heading west and affectively avoiding tolls and in many places the roads were as good or better then the I-80. We have stopped at the diner a couple of times and the service is fast and the food is delicious. We found the prices to be more than reasonable.
The homemade noodles covered in pieces of slow-roasted beef
were very good and then followed up with a slice of homemade pie.
Not only did we avoid the toll road we enjoyed
a nice homemade meal at the 5/20 Country Kitchen Diner.
