2016 Expedite Expo has happened

It takes a lot of work to put on a show the size of the Expedite Expo and kudos to all of the work On Time Media did behind the scenes. For a brand new location I thought it came off almost flawlessly. When something was not as we thought it should be the problem was addressed immediately.

We started out with The Summit and while attendance was light the workshop I believe was beyond expectations. Topics covered where Financial, Trucks, Networking, and Professionalism. The day flew by and before we knew it our time was up. Many had writer's cramps from taking pages of notes. The give and take of the day was fantastic and I think we all learned.

The TA/Petro Pre Trip Challenge was a success and the winner, Joy Adams, of FedEx Custom Critical won a very nice $500 gift certificate. There were over 30 defects planted on the truck and while no one got all of them most were found. It was a win win situation for the attendee as well as the companies they are contracted to. What better way to learn about defect then at a truck show and not at a scale with a DOT officer pointing them out?

There were four workshops about how to get the most out of an automated transmission and engine. Many have all ready given feedback that once they started working with their AMT or automated manual transmissions instead of against them the experience is much more pleasurable. We know with our automated transmission it is as if we are a well-oiled team going down the road. It takes practice to get it right.

There were also other workshops that were informative and we heard a lot about how much attendees learned and how the information gained will better their business or income. Attending the Expedite Expo is considered a business seminar and is the easiest way to network and gain knowledge.

While we had a lot of fun at the Expo we also learned a lot that we will put to good use in the upcoming year. Mark your calendars as busy July 14th and 15th next year and we will see you at Expo.
