Our excitement started on our way from the parking lot to get inside the convention center.   I took down the sunscreen from our windshield and we had a 10" crack in our passenger windshield.   Panic set in and a quick phone call was made to ATC Freightliner, Dallas TX.   Within a half hour of parking inside the convention center we had someone replacing our windshield.   A huge thanks to this Freightliner Dealer for taking control of what I considered a panic situation.

As always we were in awe of the amazing trucks and trailers entered in the Pride and Polish Show. We were parked near the edge of the show trucks near our fellow Team Run Smart Pro's truck, which worked out perfect.   After the judging was complete we opened up our truck and sleeper to the public.   Henry Albert also had his truck open and many of the show attendees were able to look at his truck and then take a tour of our 2012 Cascadia.

Our truck was once again entered in the working truck division and also after market sleeper.   This requires two sets of judges to go completely over our truck.   The judges were very thorough and they touched or used their flashlights to look in all the little nooks and crannies.   We are also interviewed about our truck, which is something Bob and I enjoy as it gives us a chance to talk about the highlights of our truck and operation.    We were pleased to once again to win the after market sleeper and once again we are taking home a gorgeous trophy.

During the show the Trucking Solutions Group sponsored a blood drive on Friday and Saturday that turned out fantastic.   The goals the American Red Cross set where exceeded on both days.   We also had a walk on Friday afternoon that did not turn out as well.   Not many drivers joined us on our walk with Homer Hogg and many of the other people from TA/Petro booth.   Those of us that walked had a great time walking and visiting.

The Freightliner booth was interesting this year as a few of the Sirius Road Dog shows were broadcasted from the booth.   Many people stopped by the booth to visit and also watch the live broadcasts.    Our fellow Team Run Smart Pro's Joey, Jimmy, and Jeff talked to drivers about the Freightliner Team Run Smart web site and helped sign them up.

We enjoyed cleaning up our truck in preparation for the show, showing our truck to other drivers and potential drivers, and we enjoyed all of the events we attended.   Looking forward to GATS 2014 and entering the Pride and Polish Truck Show again.
