UN Gun Treaty

The UN has completed work on their gun treaty, the one that Obama intends to sign. The treaty INCLUDES personal firearms in ALL UN countries and REQUIRES US Citizens to register their firearms with the UN. This is not acceptable. It WILL NOT HAPPEN!

Write your senators today and DEMAND that they vote AGAINST ratification of this treaty. DEMAND that Obama, or who ever signs this in OUR name be arrested and tried for TREASON! The is a DIRECT ATTACK on our Constitution, our freedom and the Sovereignty of the United States.

Do not mince words when you write them. Make it 100% clear that this treaty must not go into effect. IF it does what you see taking place in Syria today is going to look like a Sunday school picnic compared to what will take place here.

I heard Dick Morris talk about this. According to him this is how Obama plans to do this: The treaty is signed tomorrow. It then has to be voted on in the senate, BUT senate majority leader Harry Reid WON'T bring it to the floor for a vote, in essence keeping the treaty in EFFECT. If Obama gets reelected he also won't renounce the treaty for his entire term, in essence keeping the treaty in effect for another 4.5 years, where they can continue to chip away at the second amendment. This is one IMPORTANT reason why the republicans need to take back the senate and Obama must be defeated in the coming election.

Im not for gun registration but.... Obama will not be arrested and tried for treason and we will not have anything like Syria. Those few leading the charge will look behind them and wonder where everyone is.

Again the treaty is not acceptable in my eyes in any way shape or form but what you fantsize about isn't going to happen.

Do you REALLY believe that more than 100 million Americans are just going to roll over and play dead?

We will have a civil war and Obama WILL fire the first shot. The military, for the most part, is NOT going to back his play.

There are FAR mare patriots out there than you may think there are. MILLIONS more. Even if only 10% of the gun owner fight that is 10 MILLION people. It will happen.

You can do what ever you want. That is still your right, for now.

Estimates are 60 to 70 million gun owners in the US. Many of those haven't moved their gun or late husbands gun from the attic in twenty years. Your going to be looking behind you for an army and you'll see a platoon. Talk is cheap and 98 percent of those who talk a big game will do nothing but sit on their hands. If something does happen those screaming the loudest will become the first ones to loose their weapons. Sometimes silence is golden. Its the bank robber bragging to his friends that gets busted first.

Writing congressman in a level head non physically threatening manner is smart. Doing the same screaming civil war, dead bodies and bloodshed will get you ignored except for going on " the list".

What else waits in line at the UN in the future to whittle away our constitution , one little step at a time and we have a dictatorship here ruled by foreign laws, wait and see.

Man, I hate being right. I knew there was a connection, and the government is neck deep involved with the Colorado theater shooting, yes it was a false flag government plan. Now the Fuher has the gun bill on his desk and he has all kinds of public support to sign it. Lets face the facts. He will sign it, no politician will stand in the way because they will be painted as somone who wants a body count of children. For those who were in denial all I have to say is, You see I told you so. I remember telling people that the UN was a one world government thirty years ago, they all just wrote me off as a twelve year old with an active imagination.

Trust the government and especialy the U.N. as far as you can throw a mountain.

Not sure i understand you. Are you saying the government was involved in that shooting?

Our supreme court has already made decisions stating no treaty trumps our constitution. Now that being said does not mean the fed would not try to use it to create new laws but challenged in court unless precedent was ignored they would be struck down.

Think what you may. I have already written my senators on this, both are Obamaites, so it was a waste of time.

As to the 'list', anyone who believes in our Constitution, is a veteran or owns a gun is ALREADY on their list. Janet has already stated that.

As I have stated a zillion times. The People are not going to start this mess, Obama will. IF you are right and only a platoon shows up, expect the same results as we saw in Nazi Germany, Red China and Russia. Tens of millions MURDERED. It IS the way of the left.

Our "Supreme Court" is a puppet and Obama is pulling their strings. Sit back and wait. It will all end up in your lap soon.

Reading history. This has ALL happened before. It is going to happen again, unless it is stopped. There is nothing new under the sun. We seen this in Germany, China, Russia, North Korea, Vietnam, etc etc etc. Everywhere the left goes.

I worked with FAR too many who escaped from those places, listened to the stories on how it happened. It is happening again. Many of those who I worked with took several years escaping to get here. To a man, all were amazed just hot stupid the American people are in accepting the swill the left hands out. They could not believe that they spent all that time escaping just to come to a place where it is starting all over again.

No one is required to believe it. I understand that history is seldom taught in school. I also understand that, just like earth quakes, everyone believes that the last one WILL be the last one.

As for me being loud, good. I am sort of an in your face kinda guy. (not yours, just in general, I have no bones to pick with you) I am, however, in VERY good company. My heroes were those kind of people. People like Nathan Hale, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, etc etc. They were not the type to sit back and wait for things to get better. The MADE them get better. My kind of MEN!

As the old saying goes. There are three kind of people in the world, those that make things happen, those who have things happen to them and those who wonder what just happened. I choose to be one of those who MAKE it happen. It is just my nature.

My beliefs are MORE important. I can no long settle for the swill that is running. Voting for the 'lessor' of two evils like I have always done has only put evil in office. I will vote my beliefs and stock up on ammo.

As much as I would like to see this mess pass, I don't think it will. I am afraid we are way past that point now.

Has anybody even read the text of the proposed treaty? One important thing in it states and recognizes, in clear and unambiguous language, the right of nations "to regulate internal transfers of arms".

As xiggi noted, no treaty can override the US Constitution or US laws. In fact, if Congress passes a law that is inconsistent with an existing treaty, the law wins.

Also, there's the snag that treaties are government-to-government agreements and do not subject citizens of one nation to laws of another or to those of an outside body, like the UN. If it were that easy to control another county's citizens and place them under the jurisdiction of a foreign law, you can bet the US would have done so long ago to nearly every country on the map.

Some people, including Dick Morris and a bi-partisan group of 51 actual Senators (who should know how this stuff works but sent a panicked letter to Obama anyway out of fear that the treaty would usurp the Constitution), should bone up on how treaties are enacted and go into effect. A president's signature means nothing. Nada. Obama's signature doesn't magically cause a treaty to go into effect, and you can't somehow keep it in effect by not bringing it up for a Senate vote. The ONLY way a treaty can go "into effect" is by a two-thirds vote of a 100-member Senate. Article II, Section II of the US Constitution makes this quite clear.

The UN member states today failed once again to reach an agreement on the treaty, and despite several countries (like China, Russia, the US, and a handful of others) balking at the swiftness of the treaty and requesting more time, the blame was laid directly at the feet of the US, mainly because the US is standing firm on the demand that all 193 UN member states must consent to the treaty.

Turtle was the part about internal transfer in the treaty or only the preamble. There is a big difference.

Is there not a section that requires that all member nations have a 'nation registration system'? Seems to me that there is.

As to whether or not Obama can do this on his own, you better believe that he will try. Just like the BATFE have outlawed the importation of ALL semi-suto and pump action shotguns that have, or are capable of having a pistol grip on them. Which is every one made. That program has NOT passing congress. They have, however, stopped funding for it but ONLY until Dec 31, 2012. That way the lame duck session can put the funding back in and allow BATFE to make commerce law independent of the congress. Since the election will be over, no one will find out.

DO NOT trust Obama OR the Supreme Court.

Word is the treaty is shelved for now. The us would not agree to it as written so no vote was taken. Once the us said they couldn't agree lots of countries backed off. Its not done but is done for now.
