Been seeing alot of talk about the need of a third party.I would like to know, what many of you think a third party really solves?Does a third party really help,or does it just add a third opinion of what needs to be done and how it needs to be done?

The primary function of a third party is to allow people, some possibly members here, to waste their vote and in the process vote by proxy for the greater of two evils, in this case Obama.

We don't need a third party, we need two new ones. The two we have need disbanded and investigated as criminal organizations.

Dammit... where's the dislike button?

How else are you going to voice your displeasure, if you don't vote your conscience? Yeah... lesser of two evils, blah blah blah! If you had the choice of eating the lesser of two stinky piles of dung, would you?

I'm tired of voting for EVIL!!!

Evil is all that runs for the most part. A third party, as much as I like the idea, would likely not be any different.

The problem is the American voters. They don't demand quality candidates and are more than happy to continue to vote scum into office. All they require is their "brewskies", their favorite form of entertainment AND more hand outs so they can continue to not take responsibility for their own lives. The cost or the loss of freedom means NOTHING to many of them.

For a third party to have real success and a large impact would take several decades. I think it is much wiser and a faster path to change a current party from within. The Tea party already had a huge affect on the republican party, although there is still a long way to go it shows what can be done to change a party from outside into one that is more responsive to the voter. It is not something that will happen overnight but the direction of the party has been changed and to abandon that now would be a huge mistake.

Dislike all you want but it's not going to change anything. A third party will guarantee an Obama victory. You "conscientious" voters writing in Paul or whomever will guarantee an Obama victory. Show me a third party with a strong 49% minimum polling and I'll think about voting for them. Until then don't suggest to me that wasting your vote to feel good is a better idea. How are you liking that hope and change? Do you want four more years of it enough to waste your vote?

If Obama is reelected it will be the end of our Constitution. I just hope I can afford to stock up on a few things before it happens. Going to need to.

Gotta start somewhere. If enough conservatives would vote their ideals, instead of trying to keep a Democrat out, maybe the Republicans would get the hint.

Frankly, I'll take 4 more years of Obama, if 1) the RINOs get upstaged by a conservative/libertarian candidate; and 2) if a third party gets a head of steam... without all the morality legislation of the religious right. You know how many lost Democrats/libertarians there are? Quite a few.

So....if you "vote your conscience", and the next morning you wake up to find that Obama is STILL the president and you're stuck with him for 4 more years.....how will you feel? Have you done the best you could for your children/grandchildren? You have to look at the big picture. We're not going to see a lot of these changes that we're fighting for in our lifetimes but our kids.....now that's another story!

That's what we said last time. I think Obama is harmless when he has a Republican House. We may still go thru the food riots this election cycle. Depends on if Obama wants to feed the starving Chinese, or his own people.

As I said above, you're not looking at the big picture. This country won't survive another 4 years of this marxist and if you don't "get that" now, you need to do some more studying. This isn't a sprint, it's a marathon and we need to see it through in order to succeed.

It are sounds like you are begining to see the light.

It's not who the president is that matters, It's congress!

I am looking at the big picture. I'm looking BEYOND 2012. The conservative movement will not be won overnight. And it won't be won with an idiot RINO in office, claiming to be one of us. Got enough of that with W, for cryin out loud.

IF Obama is reelected he will have a congress that is even more radical leftist than his first one.
