The Trump Card...

Sounds like a personal attack.
People do that when they have nothing to say that they can defend with logic and facts.

In fact, Trump conned the men who were convicted today. One of the Proud Boys' attorneys said so to the jury. Their own attorney said Trump sold them a lie. And now, those poor, Trump-duped fools are convicted of serious crimes and face 20 years or more in prison. Trump sold them a lie and they bought it. Trump walks free as they go to jail. The con worked. Trump got what he wanted from them and they paid the price.

“‘Be there, it’s going to be wild,’ the commander-in-chief said. And so they did,” Norm Pattis, an attorney for Biggs, told jurors, adding that “their commander-in-chief sold them a lie.” (Source)

It’s definitely an overreaction and overreach, as well as an unconstitutional process pursuant to the 6th Amendment of having a fair trial.

QAnon Shaman files motion to vacate conviction - Brady rights denied.
He would have to appeal this case all the way to the Supreme Court because the ones(courts) below are politicized by Leftists who will rubber stamp anything regardless of the egregious errors. They are basically stacked with fervent partisans.
The Michael Flynn case comes to mind. The prosecution and the defendant (Flynn) wanted to drop the case, but the DC judge kept it going by prosecuting it himself with the help of Leftists. The DC Appeal court approved of this cockamamie judicial misconduct. That’s what the Shaman would be getting on appeal. More hackery by the Judiciary.

Fake Electors Flip for Immunity

This is good news for eight of the 16 GA fake electors. They are now immune from prosecution. It is bad news for people higher up the chain in this organized scheme to defraud the United States and thereby assist in subverting the Constitution and overthrowing the government. People who were there, and who have first-hand knowledge about the crime, its intent and those involved exactly what was going on are now cooperating witnesses.

"Eight Republican activists who falsely claimed to be legitimate presidential electors for Donald Trump have accepted immunity deals from the Atlanta-area district attorney investigating Trump’s bid to subvert the 2020 election." (Source)

While this scheme was perpetrated in several states, it is important to note that not all fake electors were equally involved.

"Not all of the false electors across the country were equally involved in Trump’s effort — and dozens have contended that they had no knowledge their signatures would be used as part of Trump’s Jan. 6 effort. Rather, they said they were advised that they were signing “contingent” certificates that would only be used if courts reversed Trump’s defeat. They argued that similar tactics were used in 1960, when Democrats signed contingent certificates amid a recount in Hawaii. (The recount ultimately reversed that state’s results and the contingent electors were counted.)

"But some of the false electors were also state party chairs and key Trump allies who played larger roles in Trump’s bid to stay in power." (Source)

When the fake electors were in the news months ago, some EO Forum participants said here that there was no crime because they signed contingent certificates. Thinking they signed contingent certificates and then doing something different is different. But some of these people did not try to pass themselves off as real electors when they were not. They signed certificates that actually stated the contingency.

In other cases, others tried to pass themselves off as real when, in fact, they were fake. And it remains the case that this continues to look like an organized and illegal effort led by high-ranking people in the Trump campaign to subvert the Constitution and keep Trump in power, even though he lost the election.

Those who were smart enough to sign contingent certificates can look back on that day, and look back on whoever advised them to do that, with great pride. They knew then that it would have been illegal to falsely claim to be a real elector when they were not. And they were smart enough and upright enough to uphold the Constitution and stay on the right side of the law.

While the wheels of justice move agonizingly slow in this and related matters, we're close to learning more. Fulton County DA Willis said she will be making charging decisions this summer. It seems likely that charges will be filed. When we see who is indicted, and who is not, and when we see the content of the indictments, years of speculation will end about what the Fulton County DA has been actually investigating, what evidence she actually found, and what charges she intends to make and press in court.

Where is Donald Trump?

"Former President Donald Trump Thursday said he would cut short a business trip to Ireland to 'confront' rape accuser E. Jean Carroll, but his own defense lawyer promptly shot down the claim.

“'I have to go back... and confront this woman, Trump told reporters in western Ireland as he toured one of his golf resorts.

“'I have to leave early,' he added. 'I don’t have to but I choose to.'"
Source

A news check this Saturday morning did not say anything about Trump's whereabouts. Did he in fact cut his trip short? In this context, Trump's use of the word "confront" can be interpreted in number of ways. But he seemed pretty clear about cutting his trip short and "go back" (presumably to the United States.

If someone calls a person a rapist, they’re not allowed to say it’s not true? That’s defamation? That’s where we are at in this country with this whole Dems lawfare thingy.

There shouldn’t be in any legal jeopardy in the first place. They were alternate electors in case the constitutionally protected legal challenges pursuant to the Electoral College Act were successful and needed. But again, Lawfare doesn’t care about that as well.
Whatever Leftist partisan prosecutors can spoon feed doltish jurors in deep blue areas is all that is needed.

I stated that exact point. SOME of the people in question explicitly stated in their filings that they were submitting what they did as a contingency. And they are not in legal jeopardy. They never have been. The ones that are in legal jeopardy are those who falsely claimed to be real electors when they were not real electors. The real electors had been properly designated by proper authorities and processes.

My guess is this is not really about Trump himself but someone in the middle who was the mastermind of the whole plan, The actual alternate electors probably thought they were doing their duty, but were being manipulated. I highly doubt they will tie this back to Trump as he is good about having people do his dirty work without telling them to do his dirty work. I cant wait for the truth of this to come out.

Everyone knows they were contingent electors except the ones playing stupid for political reasons.

There is no secret. They challenged the election results pursuant to the Electoral College Act, similar to what Democrats did in the previous election. They were contingent Electors in case they were needed.
