Biden has had 45 plus years in government office and much of it with out any security clearance to have the files he had in his possession.....trump as president had the security clearance because he was president.....biden is looking at theft,treason, and his lawyers are looking at treason to for looking at the documents without the needed security clearances.
It does not matter that they contacted the doj or archives. Biden still had documents that should never have been in his home much less a office at a university....it is all about who had the security clearance to HAVE the documents in the first place and second that the documents were stored in a scif.

Trump’s Mar a lago residence was raided back in August. This is now January. Wouldn’t the first thing for anyone like Biden and Pence to think was do I have documents as well, and to check? Yet, we don't hear anything about it until months later.

In addition to Trump's pathetic numbers compared to what he had on Facebook and Twitter, things are looking grim for Truth Social for another reason. It's stock price is at an all-time low because Trump is said to be ready to let an agreement expire that obligated him to post on Truth Social before he posted elsewhere.

I'm not sure how to properly characterize Pence's and Biden's apparent mishandling of the documents found in their possession. We'll know more about that as investigations proceed and more information becomes available. Reckless may be the appropriate term, or not. It depends on what comes out. Intentional is indeed a proper term for Trump. He failed to turn everything over when asked. He failed to do so when subpoenaed. He clearly knew he had them. Yep. Intentional.

Biden didn't have the clearance till he became president which did not absolve him of having the documents BEFORE becoming president.
It is all going to be about who had what security clearances to have the documents and HOW the documents were secured(scif).
