It is happening fast and new voters to be are moving here.

I got the paper this morning and there is a 2 page spread on refugees coming to America. There are 42,000,000 displaced people worldwide now. That means they have no home in their original country. Guess what, the USA took in 51,500 and the article would lead us to believe they are mostly from Africa. Chattanooga seems to be getting many from Burundi near Rwanda. How exciting.

They are mainly coming from the Ivory Coast,Libya,Somalia and Sudan. 46 percent of them in those countries are under 18 years of age. 22 countries admitted 79,800 of them. We or the USA got 51,500.

Do the math. 51,500 for 5 years , plus newborns, plus medical, plus new social security payments and soon you have a whole new country within a country and on and on. So , Africa is coming to America rather quickly. Lots of new voters, wonder who is doing this? Where will they work and so on? It is my understanding we are in a recession era and now all this is happening.

Nashville TN is now going through a melting pot change big time. Oh, you will not see in the truck stops, but you would if you walked through the malls.

20 years from now, we or you if your white, will be on the extinction list, so to speak,,,,,,,,,,,,you gotta love that state department. We ain't seen nothing yet nor can we foresee the impact of all these millions of cultures coming here, I don't think this is going to work.


Can you pronounce this name. Nyabenda Nduyizigiye. It is Burundian.
You will not find it in spell check either.lol


Doesn't roll off the tongue like , Jones, Smith, Williams or Johnson, now does it.

If they made a sneak attack across the border in the middle of the night, then send them back!

I can't remember the Irish or Scots doing drive by shootings here, but I could be wrong. Guess I'm somewhat skeptical in all with more black immigrants coming into Chattanooga, when the gang warfare we got going on is a big deal here.

They came here with a desire to be productive members of society. Too many of today's immigrants are here for what we can give them.

There were plenty of Irish mobsters involved in drive by shootings during prohibition. The prohibition on drugs is working just as well as it did for booze with the same results in crime. Good plan.

Amen brother. I am only second generation. ALL of my grandparents immigrated here, LEGALLY. They did everything they could to become American's. That is a far cry from some of what you see from many of the invaders that are streaming across our borders under the cover of darkness. Can't trust ANYONE who's first act in a new country is breaking the law.

When there's plenty of room at the inn you keep the vacancy sign lighted and promote more occupants. When the resources are all used up you turn the light off and refuse any more. At some point we have to realize the resources are far beyond used up and turn off the light.

Somalis have been coming here for a long time. In my personal experience of working with Somali teens over ten years ago, they were all here legally, with families interested in being productive and contributory, and were all of above average intelligence when compared with their American counterparts. Certainly a lot more polite and considerate and humble.

This country was largely founded by the dregs and outcasts of other countries, some sent here to lighten loads in prisons of England the British Isles, same as Australia. Yes, you bet, some will always be trouble makers and join gangs etc, just as the Irish did in the 1800's (huge gangs, lots of mayhem) but it is wrong to lump all new immigrants into that category when many are here legally and are looking for a better life, like our grandparents and great-grandparents.

We're too often blinded by the acts of the ones that get noticed most, the bad ones, white or hispanic or black or not, and the acts of the good ones who are here legally, try harder than anyone to assimilate and contribute, go relatively unnoticed.

The key to this is whether or not they are here LEGALLY. My grandparents came here LEGALLY. They jumped through every hoop. They learned English. They WORKED HARD.

There is also another major difference between 'back then'and now. "Back then" there was a TON of unskilled labor jobs open and no one to fill them. That is no longer the case. Jobs today require different skills than knowing how to use a pick and shovel.

I have NO problem with immigrants who come into this country LEGALLY, who try hard to fit in, learn the language and contribute to our way of life. I have MAJOR problems with invaders who stream into our country through porous borders, who often refuse to learn the language, who DEMAND rights that they have not earned and often VOTE, with the blessings of the criminal political parties who encourage these activities.

I have worked with LEGAL immigrants, lived around them and am family with them. I have ZERO use those who invade us now.

Never heard of these folks, guess in Tennessee we lead a sheltered life.lol Now I do remember hearing about our own bootleggers here and a few of us guys knew where we could get some none taxable cough syrup. Imagine that, southern boys knowing that kind of info, shucks. My dad and his ww2 buddies may have known some too. I couldn't say for sure as I was innocent of those conversations as a child.
