"Provide employment"?? Ya gotta be kidd'in??
Without employment, people haven't the luxury of considering what they can do for their country, rather than vice versa. When I volunteer my time or donate money, it's my employment that allows me the freedom to do it. Charity is a good thing, but one must take care of one's own responsibilities first, and that should be as true for the country as it is for its' individual citizens.
What would be wrong with an immigration policy that kinda looks at "what you can do for your Country" rather than the other.
What would be wrong with it is an influx of people willing to work for coolie [if I may use such a pejorative] wages because it seems a princely sum compared to what they'd get in their own country. That allows wages to be kept artificially low for everyone at the bottom, totally distorting the whole supply and demand philosophy of capitalism.
Our app reviewers seem to need to look at what the anticipated contributions may be rather than (sob, sob) "I jes wanna be there.
How do you know what they're looking at? Last thing I read was that the US is in need of science and engineering whizzes - what we ought to be reviewing is our educational policies, IMO.
Or, more voters for Barry.
Another thing you just know, uh huh.
Consider what the Hawk has in his neighborhood......calls to prayer every three hours or so. That would be plenty relaxing to me.
Did you have the same objections to church bells ringing out through the neighborhood, too? Or does freedom of religion refer to just YOUR religion? Gets a bit sticky when your religion isn't the one that dominates, eh?
What our Embasy pukes need to do, is leave their compound once in a while, so they truly understand what they are taking an application from. Feel yer pain in TN there bud, but, imagine your thumb screws will get a lot tighter.
