I remember it as a masterful satire on the ridiculousness of racism and prejudice and politics.
I've also committed every line to memory. It's that good. And that funny.
I even know some of the lines that were deleted in the final cut.

Santamaria's 1963 rendition of Herbie Hanсock's Watermelon Man
Watermelon Man was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. It's also the most recorded and performed jazz tune ever.
