You're either going to do it or you're not.

Your posts talk more about food than weight loss strategies, revealing where your mind and heart are, and leading me to believe that you will not lose the weight. Your fat will likely get you before you get it. Indeed, it has a major head start. Sorry.

I believe his post was in sarcasm, either way, that was pretty rude.....

They pay me to drive a truck, deliver the load on time and intact and be safe...IGET PAID FOR THAT...When they buy me a Gym membership and pay me to maintain there perfect idea of a body, Ill be first inline,,,till then pass me those mash potatoes....seriously, Ive gained weight over the years no doubt, I went from a pretty active lifestyle of being a Roadie to the more sedentary trucker....over about 10 years, Ive maintained a pretty steady weight, albeit its large....I dont smoke, Drink, do any drugs other then ALEVE and I enjoy FINE FOOD...and Driving.....if the Health Police want to force me out, cmon and do it...till then Im as safe as there is, do the job and deliver the freight !!!

The post was not "in sarcasm." I'm simply calling it like I see it.

Rude? That was not the intent but if it comes across that way, so be it. No one is going to lose 100 lbs. who eates the food Blizzard describes and talks about eating as much of it as he wants as often as he wants. Call it rude if you wish. It is also the truth.

I believe Blizzards post was in sarcasm. And just because something may be true doesn't make it not rude.

Back to topic, this do-gooder nonsense all seemed to start several years ago with the sleep apnea craze. The sleep apnea and healthcare industry in general - they are all about stripping wealth from everyone. This trend was no different than EOBR's about a decade ago when they said EOBR's would only be for those with poor saftey scores. I wonder how we as a country ever made it out of the 19th and 20th century without these useful regulations keeping everyone healthy and on level playing fields.

Oh I'm aware of that LOL...but which is better, a fat guy with good BP, Sugar, Cholestrol, non.-smoking etc...or a skinny guy leaning on the side of his truck trying to hack up a lung in between puffs? Seen that crap many times.

I have a buddy who's not a third my size...literally... sugar stays high, cholestrol near 300....but to look at him, he'd be judged healthier.

I don't kid myself that my size is not hard on my body, and eventually it will catch up...but I've lost weight, I eat healthier now, and its slowly coming down. Right now, "on paper" my numbers are excellent.

LOL..I didn't think I had to break it down that far...gee whiz...

....ya know it only takes about 20 lbs of overweight and we slip into the obese classification...which sends up a bunch of red flags to insurers and prospective employers....

It seems pretty clear that insurance companies should send you to a doctor to get a check up to determine your health rather than relying on arbitrary numbers.

pretty much they go by general averaging....trends/numbers/history....same as even our carriers do....number of loads go up..revenue per vehicle goes up, they recruit...not even looking at the OOS numbers or any other relevant info...

overweight/ obese carry general risks....so you are lumped into a group...

first time driver/ under 25....you are unsafe driver...rates go up...

I believe it is Progressive that has that thing to track an individual to give a discount for being a safe driver. It seems like they are on the verge of recognizing people as individuals rather than a group. I really wouldn't mind if all insurance companies did the same thing where you are lumped into a higher risk group but you can go to a doctor to get a clean bill of health and have your rates lowered.
