Nope, I never said that. No pay, no play. Want to LOWER health care costs for real? Get government OUT of health care. Outlaw health insurance and limit law suits.

Agreed that there was mental illness back in the day, but today it does seem to be a multitude of ppl that are under therapy, on pills and whatever compared to then.
Most of them probably cos they had one bad day and don't know how to cope with it.

It is backwards. The very idea that people should not accept responsibility for their own affairs and that others are then required to pick up their slack is absurd. That is socialism for you.

Yep, and it is going to get worse, costs will go up more and service will decline as Obama care rolls on.

IMO - With the poverty rate so high, I don't think all can be called "slackers"

The "poverty rate" is a made up number, based on nothing. I know far too many people who live at or below the government mandated "poverty level", who do not take any kind of government assistance and pay for their own health care. I do know that many are having problems, but, there is now and have always been a LOT of slackers and that number is increasing.
