Wow post something of truth and people do go crazy perhaps we are all bored to death....
I smell the fish rotting Balloon Man, I also think the B441 unit is crazy as hell there is 5 units here now!
But hey he would just deadhead 1000 miles but thats what a newbie would do for free.
Its not that bad rules etc. just dont like the BS from them at the moment and based on the attacks back I can see why I sit and rarely talk to the other drivers they seem like they are crabby as hell and correcty correctorson on spelling and and verbiages KOOLAID ANYONE!

Please before you leave, tell us where you are sitting that there as 4 other BOLT VANS/SPRINTERS sitting with you making it a total of 5 BOLT VANS there.... I'd love to know. 5 BOLT VANS in the same parking lot, if you aren't # 1-2 out, i'd be driving instead of sitting whining about how bad the company is treating you, but i guess thats just the newbie in me, I don't see how waiting for 4 other vans to get a load is going to benefit me enough to make me sit and wait......

And can you also point out in any of my post that i said i DH'd anywhere from 1000 to 1600 miles?

Speaking of sitting and wasting time...I have sat here and wasted almost an hour of my life that I will never get back, reading and rereading the same loooooooooooooog sentance. Normally I do not point out errors in grammar, but most of this post has been one long sentance. Confusing and rambling sentance. Please folks, my 7yr old knows to throw in a period every now and then.

turtle only you could come up with that picture now for snakedrive and blackwood i know times are tough believe me i felt the same way many times even when freight was plentiful but i also tried to put my self in dispatches shoes and imagine having all the drivers yelling in your ear they need a load while i am not saying deadhead all the way home how about finding out if they have any vans say in little rock ar. i,ve always had decent luck from there and like i stated in a previous post it is a bussiness and sometimes you may have to make a decision that the boss [yourself] does not like that being said good luck
now as for the newbe B441 or chefdennis whatever you are maybe you are a newbe to some but from i have seen and heard you seem to have all the sense of someone that has been doing this for a lot longer so keep the attidtude up

See ya need to read ALL post... nit just the ones you want too. I got here sat Night WENT OUT OF SERVICE AT 6 PM , HAD DINNER and a few beers so no reason to be in service after drinkon. Went back in service 9 am Sunday morning, so really i haven't been in service waitin for a load 24 hours yet, But i'll be out of hear today if it makes you feel better.....as far a puffy chest, lol That stuff don't impress me, i am old dude ans my 6 pack chest is long gone........

But again, where are ua sittin Black, with those 4 other BOLT VANS????

I never said my 7 yr old could spell correctly, I said he knew to throw in a period every now and then. As for the spelling error, I was so disgusted by the time wasted that I forgot to hit spell check...but oh well.

You want to split the cost of it? Maybe you can use it next time you sit for days in the parking lot with all the other van drivers at bolt, maybe you all can get together and watch it, while whinning about how your being treated at bolt.

I love these uneducated guesses and random numbers, but since it seems so important to you, I will fill you in on something...as of today at 1315hrs Panther is currently contracted to a total of 1211 units...267 tractors, 509 straight trucks, and 435 cargo vans. That is including ALL units currently under contract, including those that are signed on and sitting with no driver in them...As for the load count...your pretty close there, but it changes from day to day but usually stays around the 450-500 a day range...Thanks so much for the concern about us Panther drivers.

1211 units now and there last update on the safer web was on July 25 2008 which listed them with 916 power units. It would seem that there adding power units in a slowdown time.

Doug - yup I made some comments - and I asked questions .... maybe questions that one might do well to consider (.... or perhaps not, depending on your viewpoint) The questions were pointed - little digs as you say - the reason is to invite the OP to "take a look" .....

Now, I could have just as easily replied that yes, the folks at my carrier are a bunch of dirty, money-grubbing S.O.B.'s, that clearly have contracted way too many O/O's, they don't care about any of us, and they are clearly out solely for themselves ...... (none of which I particularly believe to be true) .... and we could have commiserated about how dark and bleak it all looks .... and how we're all surely doomed ..... and we could have had just a swell time in doing so, I'm quite sure.

However, here's my question: Do you see anything in that, that would enhance the OP's or my survival ? Or anyone else's for that matter ?

If you were riding as a passenger in a vehicle and the driver started nodding off, falling asleep, do ya think maybe it might be ok to give 'em a sharp poke ? Not the politest thing in the world maybe, but it might keep 'em from killing themselves .... or worse: you and others.

I'm happy to accept your characterization (and perhaps criticism) of my method ..... I'm a big boy and I can take it ..... but please don't make any mistake about what the motivation was, however harsh or impolite you may deem my methods to be.
