There might be a bump up in the price for them in the used truck market since if anyone wants a big-sleeper straight truck, that will be the only way to buy one, since the money is no longer there to support building new.

At least the money is no longer there from FedEx Custom Critical. That's significant because the majority (not all) of new big-sleeper straight trucks were built by FDCC contractors in recent years.

Truth be told, I put very little thought into the location of the post when I started it in the FedEx Custom Critical forum. I guess my instinct was to put it there because a post about billing for datalogger services is pretty specific to that carrier.

Agreed it is specific and should be discussed there between the concerned parties...but if someone should drag it out here....doesn't mean you have to respond in general....just keep your responses where you so chose and that is that....there is no issues...

It matters not a bit to me that someone copied and pasted comments from a carrier forum into the general forum. Having an expectation of control over something you post in a carrier thread would be like having an expectation of privacy in a nudist colony.

As it should be....anyone wants total privacy in an open forum and expects it, is in LaLa land...LOL

If those forums were private as far as non Fed people not being able to see them, or posting what someone said in a private message, that is a different manner. But we all can see what is written in there and if we choose to make a comment we have to pull it out of there. I don't see that as a bad thing and the original poster, can choose to participate in the discussion or not to participate.

Your comments below are why I said what I did about it should have been left in the carrier forum. If it had been left there, the resulting banter about whether or not Phil should have taken the load would never have taken place. The OP of this thread copied Phil's original thread in it's entirety and started this thread with it, which in my opinion put the target on Phil and his business decisions. If you don't have a problem with the thread being brought out here, you shouldn't have a problem with it attracting the intended results?

As much as you could knock Phil for being a high brow...because he demands a higher rate..one could say you are a CHEAP freight runner...3 years ago you'd be called a scum bag at 1.40...now it is ok.??...did things get cheaper?

I don't....the opinion on one issue is not connected or should not be relient on the other....like having your cake and eating it too....:)

My expectation...Phil was going to get hammered...;)

And with every thread it goes out on tangents, pickled people shorts etc, but in a normal everyday conversation people go off on tangents, it's just the way it is.
