unless I missed something, I would say he is doing better as a carrier than you would be as a math teacher. LMAO... My math says 400 mi for $580... but like I said, I could be missin something :D

You are correct...until you read between the lines and understand that it's actually 800 miles for $580 once he deadheads home both trips. It's that "between the lines" stuff that stumps 'em everytime.

At least I didn't have to pay for this, it was just kind of odd. I had to do a random test a few times when I was a truck driver with Arnold. One time I had 2 within 3 weeks, I just seem to be lucky.

You have to pay for the drug test....68.00 taken nicely from you...got hit up a few weeks ago ....

It is Bolt pumping up the #'s for their insurance carrier and their DOT audits.....while i have never had 1 in almost 5 yrs, i know a few guys in vans that have...all of them with Bolt...
Dennis,

I don't think you actually know what you are talking about ....

If one were to check, I think one would find that the common denominator in all such cases is that the individual holds a CDL ....

Those that have a CDL are subject to testing, those that do not, aren't ....

I guess I will have an issue with Bolt then among a few others that have developed recently. I'm going to wait until I can address this in a calmer manner because right now it won't be pretty.

They hope to find a desperate person that needs to make his/hers truck payment, or another one that needs to go that direction and would have deadheaded towards there anyways, or someone who is tired of waiting in Laredo for who knows how many days etc.

As for me, I would not have taken such a load, just from principle. This tells them that they can do it, and I bet there are going to be a lot more offers like that in the future.

Sitting here at the J in Toledo. Happy cuz I just won my Fantasy football leagues this week. 5-2 in one and 4-3 in another thanks to Sirius XM Fantasy radio. Did a bonehead move and forgot to start Demarco Murray the RB from Dallas. Ugh! Oh well.

I was sent for a drug test and don't have a CDL.

Yep..you are wrong sir...maybe for one who is supposedly so accurate would check on this....

It is a company policy probably for insurance reasons that carriers do this (for vans)....EVERYONE who drives is in the random rotation CDL or NOT......

And the non CDL's keep checking in...

Drug testing for van drivers is a company thing not a CDL thing. I say this because, if I drove for myself and not for LS I would not be drug tested since I would not be a CDL holder. (remember under 10K GVWR)

Now if you pull hazmat that's different then you fall under the CDL rules and would have to have a class a,b or c CDL
