Obama follows Constitution on Syria

You currently have between 80 and 90 percent of the public (depending on which poll you look at) wanting to not go in to Syria. Yet.......they seemed convinced it is a good idea. Just amazing.
Dave,

That ain't the half of it ... check this out:

Yesterday, in his column in The Weekly Standard, psycho-lunatic, Israel-firster neocon Bill Kristol said that we should - shortly after we approve an authorization for the use of military force in Syria - just go ahead approve one for Iran too ... while we're at it ...

And he wasn't joking - he was completely serious ...

The man is advocating for unprovoked aggression - and the initiation of war - against two (Muslim) countries ... neither of which have attacked us ...

It's utterly insane ...

It's not unprovoked aggression when we invade a "Muslim country," it's "liberation."

He's been loudly banging that particular drum for a while now. Remember the Israel–Hezbollah War back in 2006? Because Iran gave military aid to Hezbollah, Kristol said such an act of Iranian aggression should be met with, "a military strike against Iranian nuclear facilities. Why wait?"

He wants to "liberate" Iran so bad he can't stand it.

He's real big on false dichotomies, too. A couple of years ago he wrote at the Weekly Standard, "The real question is what form of instability would be more dangerous--that caused by this Iranian regime with nuclear weapons, or that caused by attacking this regime's nuclear weapons program. It's time to have a serious debate about the choice between these two kinds of destabilization, instead of just refusing to confront the choice."

Because, you know, that's the only choice, between those two things.

It's exactly this kind of thing - a relentless, craven push to war by the neocons, Israel-firsters, and other assorted Ziobots - all while ignoring and/or dismissing the sentiments and concerns of a majority of Americans, that, unfortunately, may well lead to a real rise in actual anti-semitic feelings.

That is not good for the US Jewish community, or for Israel in the longterm ... and it isn't really good for those harboring such feelings either ...

It certainly isn't good for a tolerant, pluralistic civil society.

And, of course, subversion of US interests to a foreign power is never a good thing.

The following article published @ RedState - a "conservative" website that is not known for being anti-Israel (very far from it in my estimation) - details yet more evidence for neocon/AIPAC fingerprints being on an effort to create a (false) narrative designed and intended to manipulate American public opinion in term of US foreign policy, and create the demand for military intervention in Syria.

Interestingly, supreme neocon Billy Bob Kristol's fingerprints are on it as well.

And it shows how the Administration, SOS Kerry, and McCain may have all been played ...
